Since I had trouble finding any "brief introduction to XML and TEI" that was either brief or genuinely introductory, I decided to write one myself: www.pmoran.ie/posts/guide-...

Question for the hive-mind: at what universities is Old Irish taught at a beginners' level?

I'm mulling over the Ogam suffix "-AGNI/-OGNI" described as a diminutive by McManus (GtO p.107). Any ideas whether this might be related to/cognate with the Gaulish patronymic suffix -ikno/a "young" @davidstifter.bsky.social @ndefaoite.bsky.social ? Perhaps a fossilised marker of a patronymic?

13-month #DH research associate / #postdoc on the GLOSSAM project here at the University of Galway, affiliated with both Classics and the Data Science Institute. Closes 29 August 2024. Details here: www.glossam.ie/vacancies

Today I updated wuerzburg.ie to include a lexicon. This collects word forms as they appear in glosses which have been tokenised to date, and links them to appropriate eDIL entries. Future updates will increase both the size and functionality of the lexicon as tokenisation and POS-tagging continues.
