I feel complicit for buying multiple copies of Prayer for the City, still one of my favorite books, to give to friends, thereby helping fund the habit.

Or maybe 1947 or 1957? I say that because I believe he has one Black person in 100 appointees and he’s Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. He’s redlining.

The mention of the Eagles letting Bryan Braman go in 2017 reminded me they later brought him back and he made this great play at the end of the Super Bowl when the Patriots tried a reverse on the kickoff return with a minute left.

Yes. Eagles fans know what it is to have a stubborn owner: Norman Braman refused to pay Reggie White and Reggie finished his career as a Packer. A nightmare. Mr. Lurie is amazing.

Pie in the Sky and The Last Detective were (still are) delightful, don’t know if you’d call them silly or satire but usually light and refreshing and we think well done and worthwhile.

Beautiful tribute on the show.

Jerry’s gonna have to trade Micah for a 4th round pick to regain the headlines in Dallas.

I do not understand why this remarkable man stays with the Cowboys.

What NFL owner, executive, player, or broadcaster in your opinion has done the most this season to dishonor the League?

Scary answer: Jerry Jones *could* say yes and pass polygraph because he really believes he’s making solid decisions. Jerry is like the aging parent who you need to take the car keys and checkbook from but won’t give them up.

Reports say Ben Johnson had 4 interviews before this game, Aaron Glenn 5. If that time and the prep time for them had been spent prepping for the Commanders, might the result have been very different?

Teams should be allowed to use one of their challenges on a penalty call or non-call, at least in the playoffs.

Coincidentally, if they had called it Rapid Unscheduled Modification, the acronym would be rum.

Gregg and Ollie make a great team. Great show.

Speaking as an Eagles fan, please Jerry, make Mike Zimmer the head coach. Or at least insist he stays on as DC. Please.

I thought Charles Davis should have that job. Hearing Charles and Kirk juxtaposed today was an affirmation.

Herbert Infatuation needs to be listed in the DSM.

In other news, on today’s NFL Daily you talked about whether a coach brings anything to the table. That would be a great segment, coaches who did (and didn’t) bring anything to the table in 2024.

Thank you for this. So true yet the show was addictive. Season 10 our favorite.

To the tune of Trains and Boats and Planes
Choppers and Drones and Planes are flying by.
They mean a trip to Moscow or Beijing
For someone else, but not for me,
The choppers and drones and planes
Are only swamp gas, just let them be.

Nick Shook protested too much, methinks, when you raised very legitimate serious questions about Caleb Williams. Glad you (graciously) persisted. Would love to hear a whole show to talk about the recent reclamation of QBs whose starting careers seemed over. (Will Wentz be another?)

The Biden administration scrapped Covid reporting. Let’s hold accountable those we like as well as those we don’t.

This show was wonderful. The chemistry and insights were special. The Eagles’ inexplicable failure to use Fran’s gifts more fully is their loss but now a gain for other venues.

Was surprised by the immediate booing. Was that cumulative frustration or just for that one play?

Bill’s gotta do a press conference soon, right? (Now it occurs to me the VP never had an actual press conference as the candidate. Maybe a mistake?) As the Richard Dreyfuss character in Close Encounters says, I got a couple of thousand questions, you know?

The only thing I can think of to compare this to is when Kent State paved over where one of the students died.

also looking forward to your analysis of That Game (how huge that time out to avoid delay of game was though it seems seldom mentioned). (And letting the clock run down before the 2 minute warning…)
