They are so powerful. We can so easily imagine (pretend) that war is what happens elsewhere, to other people in other places not to people like us in places exactly like where we are. We must never forget the horror of total war, of any war, and do all we can to try and build a world without 🕊️✌️

It happens way passed 30... I'm 55 and we still say boy, boys, lad, lads, kid when referring to each other and other men. Men however do not need infantalizing... 🤷🏼♂️

Loved those old citadel tubs. Think I still have a few. They were my go to for base colour then I used to gouache over the top. I know, I'm a monster... Haven't painted in years now... 😭

Yeah, I grew up with 70s bat guy and there was less angst but gorgeous art 😍 but Year One changed everything as far as I was concerned and I more or less left superhero comics after that. But, comics rule!

It's ok. I look back at the person I was and the person I am now, and the place I am is pretty cool and I know how lucky I am. Comics helped me be who I am but hanging on to them wouldn't have carried on helping. That said - comics can be bloody marvellous. #credo #nuffsaid #splundigvurthrigg
