For the black robes I actually applied two coats of black contrast - black templar, black legion, or army painter grim black over mechanicus standard grey. Mix the contrast paint with eshin grey, then eshin grey, then 50/50 eshin/medium/mechanicus grey. Grime speedpaint is the final step of painting
