I love everything about this, but especially the colors. I want to live in that palette, those textures.

I was obsessed with this game for about a year as a kid. I even made models of some of the enemies with construction paper!

Can confirm first hand. Whenever I’ve designed layouts that will be released in the EU it’s always the German translation that I need to prioritize. Not just length of paragraphs but also individual words for the decorative typography

That show got me to look up “40 acres and a mule” this morning and I was not expecting to be pissed off at 10am but it’s better to know than not.

Forget best animated film, forget best picture. Forget it all and replace it with this.

I love them all, but I appreciate Blame! the most. It’s scope really hits different from the rest

Wow, chalk pastel really captures the feel of the mists. And you absolutely nailed her characterization.

Arcane season 2 simulated a couple shots with split diopter and it’s fully animated. They did it just for style points.

Also look at Supergiant. Their first two games were indie darlings but Pyre didn’t quite make it. An owner/publisher might have stepped in, curbed their “riskier ideas” or mass fired to make up for lost revenue. But Pyre’s risky designs contributed immensely to Hades’ success. All of it matters.

I haven’t enjoyed watching The Boys since season 2. I would have stopped after being dissatisfied with 3 but hype for Gen V got me interested again (it’s alright, the ending is unsatisfying continuation/tie in stuff). Season 4 was overall a huge bummer and I regret watching it.

And then he falls down right at the top and has to climb it again.

That’s a bummer. Combined with the their recent statement to aim at mass market products instead of director driven stories, Pixar seems set on its own decline.

To be fair, the jump from Mad Max to The Road Warrior is bigger than any jump between the sequels.
