This deranged post must be read in concert with new Daily Beast and Yahoo News reports that Trump is a Kremlin agent ("Krasnov") and Hegseth speeding up a political purge of the military. What you are seeing here is fear from Trump and Musk; they need to get to martial law fast.

(📢) MAJOR BREAKING NEWS: The Daily Beast publishes a sourced allegation that Trump has been a Russian spy since 1987 and then—possibly under some form of threat—deletes it. But in an act of unusual heroism, it left it up long enough for Wayback Machine to capture it text. Here it is (please share):

Starlink should be banned from European markets on national security grounds. Anything requiring Starlink should be shut out of the European market, and sanctions should be considered against all relevant actors. kyivindependent.com/us-threatens...

Of course it's blackmail. And extortion. www.theguardian.com/world/2025/f...

Ukraine has shown all of us around the world, what passion and patriotism looks like. For the past 3 years, they have stood tall and strong in the fight for democracy, sovereignty, freedom and humanity. Ukraine is all of us.

Still trying to get my head round the fact that Trump somehow thinks taking $500billion of Ukariane's minerals is a good deal for Zelenskyy. It's geographical rape. Yet the Donald thinks it's ok to have a mean hissy fit if the answer's no. It tells you everything about what we're dealing with.

Timothy Snyder is an expert of modern authoritarianism.

Pence grows not quite a spine, but maybe a vertebrae.

Ending a war is pretty fucking easy if you insist that the smaller of the two sides just greases up and rolls over.

Could Trump be any more offensive? Probably, but as flooding the zone with bullshit goes, this is right up there.

A white male 'right-wing, self-enriching, autocratic movement'.... #fuckthepatriarchy

Trumpists will continue to be furious at any dissent no matter how much power they steal. That’s because the administration is premised on pathological insecurity. They’re shitty people, they know it, and they will never stop resenting being seen as shitty people.

He’s like he would be with a woman… Ukraine’s asking for it cos they look so pretty with all those nice minerals.

The bullies are in charge, full of arrogance, cruelty and mistruth and they don't care.

Sounds good to me. It’s definitely hardball we’re playing now.

Government’s wins are often invisible: Systems that avoid plane crashes; alliances that avert war; surveillance that prevent pandemics. Government wins are often *the avoidance of loss.* So how do we tell the story of the destruction of government? The story of future losses *not* averted?

We're shocked by Trump and Musk's antics because we judge them against the idea that governments should serve the people. But they have no such intention. Government for them is simply about seizing power and wealth. Let's stop being shocked, and build a global, democratic counter-movement.

The biggest single issue the world faces right now... is patriarchal overreach.

The febrile press is doing huge amounts of damage to all of us. It's well beyond time this kind of hysterical interviewing was cut short.

My loathing for Elon Musk increases every day. www.theguardian.com/commentisfre...

My heart ached when I was reminded that Aaron Swartz was prosecuted for trying to make academic knowledge more accessible to the public. Meta, meanwhile, is doing it for their own bottom line. I'm going to guess that no one at Meta will be looking at spending 35 years in jail for this.

Politics is like the weather except with politics, the climate is ours to design.

Adorable sock thief working the camera.

On LBC this morning, I spoke about why we should be far more worried the power Elon Musk is accruing, especially in light of his Open AI moves. The normalisation of his actions and activity by quite a bit of the US and even UK media is a big part of the problem. www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGnt...

I think there's a bit of strategic tightrope walking going on here, for very good reasons. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
