They were violating rights simply by snooping on his phone.

Why would they shave his head? I know it does not sound important but the reason is. They were intimidating him and telling him he had no worth. Telling them he was gay, which they no doubt knew and was a big part of why they grabbed him, was not a plus in his favor to them.

So disrespectful of President Carter. We will remember this when he dies.
