Wasn't it "whats the bleeding time?" ?

VHF vs UHF aerials. Different construction. When I was a kid, the rooftops were still covered in them, and they gradually switched over during the 70s.

I'm afraid, for me, it's "Carry On!" 😁

She seems to have forgotten that she is a servant of the convention, not someone who can re-interpret it to their personal ideology.

... as evidenced by their many appearances in the Manchester Pride parade, there's clearly a lot of work still needing to be done at the managerial level. Apologising heals wounds, and for Manchester, one of the most wounded, historically, the refusal to do so seems almost maliciously obtuse. 2/

Right now, with R0wling's publicly stated intention to fund any such cases, its enough for businesses to capitulate before it ever goes to court, knowing that most people do not have the resources to defend in the way that she does. It's called Lawfare.

But she's literally working for the bigots, so that would never happen. Everything she's doing at the moment is a grift. She reckons if she says that black is quite often enough maybe some people in power will believe it. The trouble is, the people in power are so dumb right now they just might

Transphobes are traditionally selective about what they see and don't see. Bearing in mind that most of their arguments are based on fear mongering, hatred, and lies

It's got nothing to do with cubicles, they don't even want us in the communal spaces, or standing washing our hands at the sink. It's literally an exclusion order so that bigots don't have to breathe the same air as us

The final time I tried, the secretary finally was honest and said, "Alex doesn't think that's a suitable topic for discussion", And that was that . Then look what happened to him. Mr Sleepy Cuddles, founder of the hugely transphobic Alba Party.

This is by no means new. When I lived in Peterhead in the late 90s, Alex Salmond was my MP, and his office was literally around the corner from my flat. I tried several times to pop by to chat about the increasing need for trans rights, but he was never in, and the secretary fobbed me off every time

I met him at a backstage signing in Manchester. Got a photo with him too. Thanked him for all his music. He stopped signing my Pet Sounds Box Set for a moment, looked right at me and said "Thank you so much". I could have died, right there.

I was there too, in the balcony. I'm even on the DVD. We witnessed a rebirth of epic proportions, at an emotional level many couldn't comprehend. I saw him three more times between then and 2016. I met him twice. We knew it was coming, but the arrival still devestates.

Given the actual human rights law, set down by the ECHR, she's in for a rude awakening.

But they can't amend without pulling out of the ECHR, surely, and that's already been discussed as a complete no-no, financially and proportionately.

Transphobia tends to be practised by the very dim. She's now fully mask off, in open session, and there will be heavy consquences.

Rights were further solidified by the Equality Act of 2010. The twisted manipulation of the law by the Supreme Court and the EHRC, despite the best efforts of leading legal minds and human rights agencies, is now proven to be wrong. Trans people are protected by Article 8, definitively. 2/

Absolutely. This open admission invalidates everything they've ever said about trans people, as they are coming at it from a illegal position.

Maybe he's just the latest, and worst, to say it. I agree that it doesn't need a break… It freshens itself up with each new showrunner,

Sorry I wasn't able to make it to see this in Manchester… I've been incredibly busy these last few weeks doing technical design and filming for a local show in Chorlton here in Manchester.

Does this refer to that Spectator article? The one written by Gareth Roberts, the notorious trans-hating, anti-queer reactionary no one wants to work with anymore?

Completely. I suppose it's to be expected in a "style magazine" that ordinary people are too dull for them, but that's the majority of us.
comment in response to post
Even as so-called luvvie actor, I would never dress or pose like this for a magazine article. Those of us who are rather plain and ordinary are sometimes seen as "not queer enough" for the media, despite our authentic lives. 2/

This is... problematic. The vast majority of a tiny population are ordinary people, trying their best to get along. Not people in sexy poses wearing Prada and Louis Vuitton. Hairdressers, IT techs, graphic designers, bakers, police people... but they're not sexy enough for The Face it seems. 1/

I get what you're saying, but the acronym TERF, no matter how inaccurate, is already an established term of use. Trying to introduce another, like GERM is unlikely to gain traction. TERFism establishes their delusion as a concrete ideology, rather than a perceived personal attack.
