Ugh. I should follow up with my kids again to see if they have any of that going on. As far as I know, no one has mentioned it in a long time. If that's still true, I feel very fortunate the community has accepted their masking and moved on.

At least you found it before it ended up in the washing machine! Made that mistake a few too many times...

Also, do I still remember how to do this?

Hah... I didn't even make it through the first day of the year without ordering 🤣🤣🤣

I'm wondering if it's too late to return all the presents I bought and replace with a clump of coal...

Snowman for the win. Hard to even read the points on the Toronto infographic.

We started tracking license plates and keeping a list of how many different ones we could spot. Game changer.
Also a good collection of audio books and music. Lots of snacks and stretch breaks

I'm pretty sure they would prefer you keep your puking away from them...

"Have it all" is a lie. No one can have it all... women just get more options to choose from than you did 50 years ago. You still have to choose tho...

We started with regular advent calendars but it was too much distraction while getting kids ready for school plus they're either eating chocolate first thing every morning or fighting about leaving it to the afternoon. Quickly decided that wasn't working... tho some days we cheat and put a treat in

If it goes well and you want to level up, our elf brings an advent calendar each year... each day has a message from him with a holiday activity to do together (family movie night, hot chocolate in PJs, Xmas karaoke, baking cookies...)
Kids LOVE it but it's a heck of a lot of work to keep up with

I had to get a tooth extracted and I was terrified after all the stories about people being ridiculous after getting wisdom teeth out. I made everyone swear they wouldn't take videos of me or share anything I said. Didn't end up being that drugged up at all.

If your candy is well placed, you only have to do is a stretch reach across... still picks up as movement 😉

As a consultant, I see this with some clients... they genuinely desire improvement but spend insufficient time understanding the root cause. The changes they make are like throwing spaghetti on the wall to see what sticks. Then they're demoralized when it doesn't work and reluctant to try again.

Thank you! I'll look into both of those.

Still masking in all public indoor spaces (and crowded private spaces!) 😷

I would just replace the word intelligent with knowledgeable. Intelligent/smart usually implies IQ and is considered fairly static but anyone can choose to become more knowledgeable/informed. For same reason, I prefer to use ignorant (choice) vs stupid. Word choice can be very impactful.

I feel like "smart" is being used as an over- generalization here. By "smart", it sounds like what's meant is curious, open to learn, open to different ideas... you don't have to be highly educated or intelligent to be those things (and being educated/intelligent doesn't make you open either!)

I particularly like when I'm asked if I want someone to put a mask on. Anyone wearing a mask themselves would prefer you wear one too! Why even ask??

My kids (same age) would probably do that on purpose to get brownies ("we promise we're going to sell them to buy you presents" -- skip ahead 45 min -- <chomp, chomp, chomp>)
