It took the Nazis one month, three weeks, two days, eight hours, and 40 minutes to dismantle a constitutional republic. When the fire starts to burn, every good person better be ready to man a post with a bucket of water if you want to stop it from raging out of control.

Today, for the SCP Wiki's Public Domain Contest 2025, check out my team's latest entry, "Irkalla, House of Dumuzi, the Netherworld"! One of the top rated articles of the contest so far, I promise it's worth the read :) scp-wiki.wikidot.com/ptt-1666-gra...

democrats trying to focus test a political ideology is like trying to build a house to match a boat's position on a river instead of just building another boat

In general, choral Battle Hymn inevitably sucks because it's not supposed to be a pretty song. It's a call to jihad in the name of liberty.

However, this would please literally no one, the right wingers for protecting trans people, and trans people because of obvious reasons.
comment in response to post
A morbidly funny interpretation and compromise by the court could organize trans people as a third sex independent of cis men and women, and thus being discriminated against.
comment in response to post
Like, as written, the arguments used in Skrmetti would still hold, "both trans-men and -women are discriminated equally by trans healthcare bans, so sorry, but it isn't unfair discrimination :)"
comment in response to post
This is meant inspire a few people to make test cases of sexual discrimination based on a reading of the 28A. At that point, the Supreme Court can either rule that it is ratified, or chuck the ball into Congress' court, who would probably have to retroactively extend the ratification deadline.
