I think I’ve watched it thrice but can’t for the life of me remember any incest ? It is the Baldwin with the permanent coke drip and his daughter? Was it implied or did I just miss it all together?

Not rational it’s baby brain logic at work sees a shiny thing cries till it gets the shiny thing only to break it and has a tantrum until it spots another shiny thing Trying to understand the rationality will only cause brain pain

It’s so people can fight outside in the fresh air not inside where it’s stuffy

The upshot of this over the top cartoon villainy is that it’s easy to see it for what it is

The internet is toast At least the automated parts and the SM platforms are. They’re all about to go the way of the aol chat room Meta is really attempting to market ai as “friends” for Americans who are all “lonely” according zuck Isolate and alienate then sell artificial companionship to rubes

A. Are those 45’s! 🖤 B. This drawing has me scrounging for eric stanton documentary C. I know the pen that made this perticular line but can’t rember what it’s called. It’s a rollerball disposable and was Alex Toth’s favorite and a dream to draw with despite being basicly an office supply

They been saying this same ish since 2016, the insincerity is stupefying. I can’t tell if I’m the deer in headlights or if they are, or we all are?

Right he’s actually a perfect example of it looks simple but it’s not easy at all but also it’s actually really simple all at the same time. Although calling him an artists artist is a little like saying water is wet It’s not untrue but it’s also not much of an insight

irritatingly by the time people label someone an artist’s artist that artist is well on their way to having wider audience. if you want to take popularity out of the equation then think of an artist who has a nuanced mastery over their work that a non artist might have difficulty perceiving

It can mean a lot of things including just a glib aside but typically it is used to describe an artist who is whole heartedly dedicated to their work and has the respect of their peers but not necessarily the attention of a wider audience. There can be many reasons for this

I really don’t understand why or how it’s becoming an all purpose common usage noun. It’s so distracting and confusing. Also we used to call jocks goons in HS but when people use it now they don’t mean a big sluggish mouth breather they’re talking about the other thing? Or am i confusing it?

It’s has superficial commonalities that could easily be dismissed as genre tropes but from a writing perspective it feels like TP sits firmly on DS’s shoulders. I only just started DS so I’m no expert

Are the parallels between the 60’s dark shadows soap and twink peaks real or illusory ?

Does it, is it… are you saying it’s giving Shane MacGowan?

I don’t consider myself a fan of Garfield per se but I’m definitely never getting over the graphomania that newspaper strips instilled in me. Even Jim Davis used to be a poet of the line back (in the brush and ink days at least)

I haven’t read Astro city but the hero’s look very “heroic” in it. Top 10 seemed more of a “the invisible man is a peeping tom and wonder woman runs a dungeon” type of vibe… maybe a dick wolf type of narrative cops and seedy characters interacting ?
comment in response to post
It was called TOP 10 I think making it difficult to search for it online

Wasn’t there a comic where everyone was a super hero and it was in the future but also like the 1950’s tenements of the lower east side ? Literally every last schlemiel had a super power and everyone was always miserable?

Not to mention an investment that would benefit countless future generations
