I don't want them to vote smarter. I don't want them to vote at all. I want the people with mature politics to vote. These assholes who vote on animus like it is some stupid sportsgame, they can fuck off. Don't vote. let the grownups handle things.

it's probably cause ur (probably) a liberal or liberal adjacent and that automatically makes whatever u say they're 100 percent against it. even if it's truth. that's the pavlovian situation fox and right wing news media has put us in.

captured areas precisely because elections were not held there. Putin also had elections done in the occupied territories.

Hitler also held plebiscites in annexed territory in order to legitimize the takeovers. Similarly, russia wants a new election because obviously there is potential for finding cracks in society they can leverage, but also, having had an election, they can then turn around and claim sovereignty over

that would make sense if not for the rampant chaos of the first term and the rampant criminality after 2020 election. I blame the media in regards to failing to put this in the right context for the american people. but people are getting pilled wherever now, not sure how much it matters. moot now

comment in response to

as a matter of fact prices are on the rise again, and not just because of h5n1 egg stuff. tariffs or the threat of, as well as uncertainty among the investment class, is currently fucking everything.

Yeah that too. a bunch of maga probably also think we are in constitutional crisis but for the wrong reasons. we are in a constitutional crisis and this number should have been higher when the supreme court let this asshole off the hook and it's only 55 percent *now*? i think ppl just dgaf yet

I agree. Coming out of the gate with full on p 2025 chaos isn't popular at all with either party. During the election project 2025 polled as toxic radioactive waste. That all he had to do was say, I am not with p 2025, and that was the end of it, is a serious indictment of the media.

the electoral college as well as a bunch of empty quarter states, gerrymandering, etc. couple that with the people who stayed home because of gaza or eggs prices in november, and this is the takeaway? the number ought to be a a lot higher. But it's early days, I expect that number to increase.

I am not so sure. 55 percent is kind of low bar as far as constitutional crisis or any polling goes. Now if it starts ticking up to 70, shit might start moving. As it stands, republicans have outsized control of this country because of built-in advantages,

fail to see how recent history bears that out. he won the election after all. I know why he won, but that poplegit reasoning makes no sense here. I am not really certain there is enough level of betrayal yet set in. It has only been a few weeks. People can hold on to hope for a pretty long time.

we have to identify it. we have to trace the sources. we have to call it out. it isn't even so much shame as it is pointing out the poisonous snakes that surround us.
comment in response to

Well I do think it is necessary to idk, forensically identify how we got here. It doesn't help if people protest voted and then through some other mechanism, notably, the corrupted corporate media, find some avenue to avoid responsibility or a feeling of guilt for their naivete.

the fact of the matter is regardless of, as you say, that this move is "impossible", which codes as cope, the intent in and of itself is enough for prosecution at the hague and the end of this criminal presidency.
