Yeah the core range is the same across all spoons pubs. They tend to have rotating guest ales in individual pubs.

Which publication did you get your information from?

Did spoons have racist beer mats?
Does a lack of racist beer mats mean the owners are not racist?
comment in response to

And its logic. You cant supply over 800 pubs consistently in the hope that the breweries will have some beer near its expiry date. Just wouldn't work. Might work for an individual pub with a local cask ale but not across the whole business

Have you checked though?

Season 1 had heart, but football in the groin had a football in the groin.

I think they sell more than 3 beers.
Do you canvas the opinions of every pub owner before you decide whether to have a pint?

At spoons prices you cant afford not to be!

Cheap pints though...

Pubs aren't managing though. Closing down at quite a rate.

Cask isnt for everyone. And spoons is still a good bit cheaper.

That selling beer close to its end date is a myth.
Thats not their business model.
I can see how an individual pub might do that with a guest cask ale but not possible across the core range of drinks at over 800 pubs.
They simply benefit from economies of scale.

Always get a decent pint in spoons. I think its more people prioritise value for money.
People are sick of paying £6 - £7 or more for a pint.
comment in response to
post
Nope. Thats a myth. They benefit from economies if scale.
Some of it is. Its still incredible value.
Who are the worst of society that frequent spoons?
comment in response to
post
Thats a myth. They don't buy almost out of date beer.
The food is good value.
The worst of society? Who is that?
comment in response to
post
Except thats not their business model. That whole limited shelf life thing is a myth.
They benefit from economies of scale.

Yeah you never see a quiet spoons. Yet other pubs are closing all the time.
Spoons offers fantastic value and times are tough.

Spoons doesn't deserve the hate it gets. Low prices, consistent quality and good range of drinks. Normally in decent locations like city centres. Great buildings.
Food is edible and well priced.
They give the people what they want.

Keeping cask alive probably

You need to be able to separate the art from the artist and enjoy cheap pints.

Its always made me smile that law. Surely as soon as you have one drink you are intoxicated to some degree. Where is the line drawn? When you fall over? Can you sell someone a 2nd drink knowing they have already had one?
