I've been curious about the Swedish approach to early child development. Apparently, they focus more on play, imagination, and curiosity for the first 7 years and then bring in things like math and reading. However, they tend to score higher on global assessments than the U.S. Something to dig into.

Politicians keep saying things like "this judge is putting terrorists over Americans" or "these libs are putting illegal immigrants over Americans " No one ever gives a realistic reason as to why they would do that. What does a judge gain by putting terrorists over Americans?

This is just straight-up dumb. I don't care this energy and heat are free in my city. If the air isn't breathable and the water isn't drinkable, I'm not thinking about those sweet savings. Source: NYTimes

Time to check the Help/Hurt scoreboard for the Trump Administration. Groups Helped: Women who don't want to play sports with Trans people, fans of Russia, fans of Musk Groups Hurt: Immigrants, DEI supporters, Transpeople, Farmers, international allies, federal agencies, free trade industries...

Something that occurred to me that I knew I knew but at the same time struck me weird. Republicans really tried to make Diversity = Racist. Like that's almost impressive to try to slight of hand openingly wanting diversity.

A gay guy, a Black man, and a woman walk into a flight deck— that’s not the beginning of a joke, but just a regular day at work! There was so much DEI on this plane that we could hardly get in the air. Luckily my limp wrists were able to wrestle the heavy jet back to the ground 💅🏼

Odd that the party that was convinced the 2020 stolen via voter fraud has not launched a technical investigation into how someone could do that? I mean, like which systems failed in their mind to allow fraud? You'd think that would be important just as a democratic country. I'd be curious.

Let the record show, I do not like that Trump guy. I do not like how he speaks about people. I do not like how he treats our laws and social contracts. I do not like the behavior of his followers. I do not like his vision of the future.

Listening to #thejournal episode about romance #booktok. The term "Werewolf Dentist" came up. I had to see if there was really a romance werewolf book about dentists, and sure enough

My kid is getting super into Pokémon and I'm not up to speed with the later generations. So, guess who just downloaded an emulator to his phone to get back into the games.

So RFK believes that we live in a world where autism can be given to people? Like if I wanted to make someone autistic, I could?

If the U.S. had free healthcare, i think the hospitals should adopt the Free-To-Play business model. The medicine is all the same, but patients can purchase aesthetic enhancements. Just read an article about a college women's volleyball team embroiled in a transgender controversy. Can I give a hot take on the whole issue? From an athletic standpoint, i think this should be treated as the new paradigm. I'm for men, women, and everyone in between playing together.

With so many opinions flying around, it can be hard to identify the good from the bad and the right from the wrong. Comedy has taught me that identifying absurdity can help ground you. Specifically the type of absurdity that can be communicated across audiences.
