SCOTUS? You mean the SCOTUS they bought and paid for, and that basically gave Trump near-total immunity anyway?

"Might makes right" may seem like a great idea while you have the upper hand, but you're not gonna be top dog forever, and others will remember how you behaved.

I hope Russia realizes that even if it manages to end this war in possession of the stolen territories, the next time Russia goes through a period of weakness it'll be open season for any of Russia's neighbors to take anything they like, and no one will give a damn.

Yeah, I can totally see how enabling the victim of naked aggression to defend themselves would eSCaLAtE tHE CoNFLict. In fact, no victim of aggression should ever put up any resistance at all, am I right? šŸ¤”

She was anti-Trump until a few months before the election, when she realized that she likely didn't stand a chance and switched to boot licker mode. Like all GOPers, this woman has no intrinsic values other than the thirst for power and wealth.

In Germany, the Green party has been among the staunchest supporters of Ukraine.

Impeachment does nothing. A different fate awaits traitors...

I get the sentiment, but people whose ancestors came here several generations ago are *not* immigrants. The word immigrant has a clear definition, and this is not it.

It is saddening to watch America turn into a hostile nation. šŸ˜¢

Fuck this security-guarantees-next-time BS. If we're not willing to go to the mat for Ukraine NOW, why would we be next time? We should have declared war on Russia and forcibly removed them from Ukraine a long time ago. This could all have long been over and done with.

Basically *every* neighboring nation would like a word.

Well, technically the UK is not in the EU anymore. šŸ˜ž

We should not give 2 shiny dicks about what Russia deems acceptable. šŸ™„

In an actual shooting war, additional squadrons would be ferried over here within days, including AWACS, tanker assets, and long-range strike aircraft to take out enemy high-value assets. Individual European air forces just do not compare.
comment in response to post
The U.S. Air Force would be a massive force multiplier, though, as would U.S. reconnaissance satellite assets. It's not that Europe is defenseless without the U.S., but save for a few countries like France and Poland, we're not exactly in great shape either.

Neither did the Soviet Union. Well, to be fair, it never really did.

And he's full of it too.

They deserve a reward for basically reneging on the security guarantees extended to Ukraine and hanging Ukraine out to dry for 11 years?? Yes, the trickle of support the U.S. has been giving is better than nothing, but I doubt this is what Ukraine had in mind when it signed the Budapest Memorandum.
comment in response to post
Regardless of how this all ends, we all must internalize 1 essential lesson: you can never depend on international law, "security guarantees", and the U.N. If you do not have the military might to guarantee your own security, you basically *have* no security. šŸ˜¢

To be fair, irreparable damage was already done to America's reputation back in 2014, when it, along with the rest of the West, showed a remarkable lack of spine during its pathetic response to the Russian invasion.
comment in response to post
No, it wouldn't. You'd be very naive to think the Chinese government is any better.

Unconstitutional, dammit.

Of course, the very fact that an insurrectionist was even allowed to even run for president is unconditional.

"The 90s were an illusion." Clearly. šŸ˜” Yes, the world was facing serious problems in the 90s too, but for a while there I had fooled myself into thinking that at least we were ever so slowly inching in the right direction. Could I have been any more wrong...?

To MAGAts, anyone with at least a 2-digit IQ and a moral-based value system is "unqualified". How anyone that voted for *this* administration could even dare to utter the word unqualified defies belief.

We must have gone though a dozen wake-up calls in the last few years. Strangely, nothing much has been achieved in that time. Guess we're all talk, no action? šŸ¤”

Ohh. So when the stock market goes up during Bidenā€™s term, itā€™s ā€œin anticipationā€ of a trump term, but when inflation goes up during Trumpā€™s presidency, itā€™s still Bidenā€™s fault. Got it. The funny thing is, at least 79M Americans are so stupid theyā€™ll believe this.
comment in response to post
I'm sorry, anyone who didn't vote in this election either supports MAGA or is at least ok with it. Don't give me this BS.

I can't listen to this bullshit anymore. Will you yell at him? For 3 years, the drip with weapons is like giving antibiotics in small doses, intermittently and breeding drug-resistant bacteria. The same is done by incompetent politicians and military. They train and strengthen the Russian army.

I'm not even sure anymore that's actually true, given our utterly gutless reactions of the last decade. Perhaps we'd write Putin a devastating letter threatening him with sanctions if he doesn't withdraw his forces from NATO territory. šŸ˜

The guy who, if justice wasn't a joke, would have been dangling from a tree years ago, wants to charge someone else with treason?! What a world.

The same could be said about Italians and Japanese people, and yet Hitler was allied with them, which is what the original comment was about (i.e. Hitler *siding* with them).

Thanks to all the people over the last decade who tried to scold those of us who have seriously referred to MAGA as a fascist movement. Donā€™t come crying to me when these thugs come for you too.

Arrested Trump for treason? Especially after SCOTUS provided the president full immunity.
