Not that I've ever self published but if I do: I'm 100% going to create my own artwork as cover even if it looks bizarre or 'untidy'..
This made me think of album covers from indie bands who do the same. seeing messy / chaotic / naive cover art makes you want to engage with the piece more I feel

Growing up in France in 2008 and having 'Walsh' as your last name meant people would quote Laurent Wolf's hit 'Wash My World' as... Yes: 'Walsh My World'.
