Just wait until Pride Month comes around in June. There will be loads of these GB News advertisers loudly proclaiming their love for the LGBT community while funding a "news" organisation that actively spreads hatred about them. Campainging in June needs to be especially vigilant.

I'm getting a flight to Bilbao soon but the only airports that fly there are in the London area. I live in Nottingham. If I want to get there in time for the morning take off, I'll need to take a 5 hours night coach. The flight is 2 hours.

Exactly. Most of the population of the UK has to shlep down to the south east corner of England before we can even dream of making such a trip.

I'd prefer a decent and affordable route from London to Manchester but there we go.

And, in a shocking turn of events, the police are not deeming this to be worthy of investigation. www.nnjournal.co.uk/p/serving-co...

How did you get that ".wales" suffix on your BlueSky handle???

Thanks. I thought the Tories had concluded their selection process. It's interesting that Bradley, who was running two "full time" jobs as an MP and leader of the Council, stood down from the latter after the GE, claiming that it "clashed with other commitments". Basically, it didn't pay enough.

Isn't the former Tory MP and rent-a-gob Ben Bradley also running in that contest after being ousted by the voters of Mansfield? It'll be interesting to see the right wing vote being split but, being Lincolnshire, there's plenty of it to go around.

Do you have even the slightest idea what Russian troops do to civilians in occupied territories? Standing down is not an option.

And let's face it, it won't be just Russia interference this time - Trump will have his army of hackers and techbros helping the Kremlin candidate this.

I once reported someone for quite literally saying that there were too many black people in the UK and THAT was deemed to not have broken the rules. I got rid of my account not long after that.

We banned greyhound racing too. 👍

"I am worn out calling for help" seems quite apt for Twitter these days.

I left in 2022 because it was full of racists. It seems those were halcyon days compared to now!

It's not even worth reporting any of them any more, is it?

Quite right: Putin should pull his troops out so he can interfere in another democratic election. That's the acceptable way to overthrow European governments.

That's Richard Attenborough. 😄

"They are not on Twitter, but they are in local communities" Yes Kemi, that's what MPs are supposed to do: supporting and representing their constituents, not posting culture war bullshit on Nazi-friendly social media.

I'd never heard of Piece Hall until Brian mentioned it in several of his posts. The place looks fantastic.

It's interesting to hear a black person saying that she doesn't think that black lives matter. That's a new one.

I'm getting a very strong "yeah well how many asylum seekers have you got in YOUR house, eh?" vibe from Ryan there.

Sweden joined the EU thirty years ago and still shows no signs of giving up using the Krona.

Maybe not the world but I'd put Constance Markievicz into that list. She was the first female MP in the UK, an activist, an artist, a suffragette, a war veteran and an all round Very Interesting Person.

That rules out King Charles then.

Robert Jenrick though? I guess the Conservative members got sick of pretending and want to get their racism from a middle-aged white man once again.

Judging by the collapse in the Tories' vote share, it looks like their voters simply jumped ship. Even with the Tories and Reform votes combined, the rightwing parties got less than 40% of the vote.

Seriously, fuck Brewdog. There are plenty of better independent brewers in the UK that treat their employees well and don't masquerade behind some kind of "punk" rebel bullshit. Also, Brewdog's beer is invariably overgassed, overpriced, gimmicky shite.
