I guess the VA health clinic and US Army recruiting offices in Iowa City, Iowa are surplus to requirements?

First few pieces of the AFV Club M54 kit started. Happy with how things are fitting together. Tons of tiny pieces, taking my time to make sure small errors don't become big problems.

Hi All, two big releases this morning. First, I just sent out my weekend update (free as always). There was nothing shocking in the Oval Office bullying of Zelensky. Trump was speaking Putin’s words because he sides with Putin. Stop pretending otherwise. open.substack.com/pub/phillips...

On this day in 2022, the brave defenders of Snake Island made their immortal response to the Moskva: "Snake Island, I, Russian warship, repeat the offer: put down your arms and surrender, or you will be bombed. Have you understood me? Do you copy?" "Russian warship, go fuck yourself."

You defend your country from a bunch of orcs, who sent a hit squad to kill you. Their daily missiles slaughter your citizens, destroy your hospitals, cause civilian blood shed at bus stops - and then two foul, evil men ambush you in front of the press, so they can pillage your country.

Post a female character that you love, maybe a little too much

During WW1, Clare Attwood was commissioned by the Women's Work Sub-committee of the Imperial War Museum to produce several pictures depicting the activities of the Women's Voluntary Service. This work (1918) shows the Royal Army Clothing Depot at Olympia.

The #Holocaust was the first widely photographed mass atrocity. #LastSeen project collects images of Nazi deportations (1938–1945), often the last photos of victims—some even taken by Jewish individuals. https://buff.ly/3EdyAna (Wolf Gruner @dornsife.usc.edu) 🗃️ #HolocaustRememberanceDay

I'm looking for an expert on Comfort Women in WWII please. This could be about China, Korea, The Philippines or more generally. The books I am finding seem to be mostly written in the 1990s. I'm looking for someone working/studying/teaching the subject today. Thanks
