Google and Meta search both report that Cape Breton Island has its own time zone 12 minutes ahead of mainland Nova Scotia time because they are both drawing that information from a Beaverton article I wrote in 2024

Just happen to be listening to him too. people.com/sly-stone-de...

Thou shalt remember that President Trump hired a “big time drug addict” to destroy the government and was fine with that. Thou shalt also remember that Elon Musk funded and worked for a man he knew to be a pedophile and was fine with that.

In a bilingual country, you can be illiterate in both languages!

Not just Australia

I leave on a roadtrip for a few days a week from Monday & this is harrowing to look at. I’m glad I’m going — but I’m terrified of a future where we have to travel in a 2-week window to miss blizzards & wildfires, or we can’t see central Canada. This impacts the entire planet. This is oil & gas.

Corbeil, where they were born, is close to where I am. Their house has been moved a couple of times at least. Now it's near downtown North Bay. You can barely see it in this Google Street View shot (it's the white house) maps.app.goo.gl/dhdueQRMVHuw...

I just saw a BMW use their turn signals! I mean, sure, they didn't stop at the stop sign, but, turn signals!

Don’t let hippos sniff mopeds Or a deer chew your bike Hide big wheels from gators They know what they like Geese love to rub rowboats Ducks will tickle your van Rabbits snuggle with tractors Whenever they can Squirrels smooch skateboards If a door’s left ajar And whatever you do

They're killing that cats! They're killing the dogs!

You bet I’m judging Canadians who are still choosing to travel for pleasure to the states. I understand people in the first six months of the year who had already booked things. If you have family, all good. I feel that. And I know work things are often booked way out. But pleasure trips? 😒

Salmon, fiddleheads, eggplant. Sorry, none left.

Slept terrible last night. Too tired for anything interesting. So, here's supper a-making ...

On May 20, 1993, 33,000 people filled Skydome in Toronto to watch the series finale of Cheers on the world's largest Jumbotron, in an attempt to set a world record. When they saw George Wendt's Norm, the entire stadium yelled "NORM!" in unison.

Stole this. If you're a Leafs fan, read no more! Q: How many Leafs does it take to change a tire? A: One. Unless it's a blow-out. Then they all show up.

Happy Victoria Day and National Patriots' Day! Victoria Day is Canada's oldest holiday, dating back to before Canadian Confederation. It has a long and interesting history, so let's explore the story of the holiday that is the start of summer for Canadians! 🧵1/12
