I was offered an 1- year extension at my current position in Egypt this week, saving me from DC's kerfuffle for another year. To celebrate I splurged on lip filler, more Arabic lessons and Werther's Salted Caramel Popcorn. Of the three, I am definitely enjoying the popcorn the most.

I took a negotiation class at FSI the week Trump withdrew us from JPOCA. They had a video for the last session of the course that covered how it was negotiated as an example of what diplomacy could do, which we all watched silently, knowing that it had just been destroyed.
