Yep that’s exactly I why I use FCP, the optimisation. It’s really not a performance issue overall just super long timeline clips being super tiring to scrub through and segment and cut. Maybe a plugin could help? Just wish there was some way to automate it since I used to deal with like 3hr clips.

I love everything Blackmagic/DaVinci is doing in the space honestly but my lack of knowledge with it is where I’m worried lol.
I have access to premiere on my CC sub and it’s still the industry standard for now, I’m thinking 🤔.

Like are there any features beneficial to me over using Final Cut specifically for editing lets plays? I have access to both as it is I’m just more comfy with Final Cut but I feel like it gets clunky with super long clips.
