I'm thrilled that my pastel "Provincetown Dusk" was selected to be part of The Salmagundi Club juried exhibition "Into the Night: Nocturnes." The exhibit runs from January 28 - February 14 in SCNY's Rockwell Gallery, 47 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY. There is a reception on February 6, 6-8pm.

Experimenting with Colourfix Velour paper. I usually use pastels on sanded paper or Pastelmat. The velour is very smooth and doesn't hold many layers of pastel. It's also hard layering light over dark. PanPastels work well on it. Having said that, I'm happy with what's happening here so far!
