This is an insult to Johnny's chili and I won't stand for it. He CAN cook, it's just that he's lazy and doesn't do it ๐Ÿ˜ค

I pre-ordered the audiobook and I can't wait! Mon and Bale are two of my faves, and I always want to know what Saw is doing so I can be wary at him... seeing him before adopting Jyn will be interesting!

Have you watched/read a Star Wars if you haven't gone to their channel for the review right after? Not in my case, that's for sure ๐Ÿ˜‚

I, in fact, didn't know his name was Stekan. It sounds like Steak??? Terrible.

Muy fรกcil, la Navidad se celebraba invitando a tus hijos a un castillo para decidir quiรฉn iba a heredar tu imperio y discutiendo con tu mujer, a la que por lo general tienes encerrada en una torre. #TheLionInWinter

THE FACT THAT YOU CAN'T CATCH ME NOW, GOOD 4 U, AND DEJA VU ARE NOT IN THE LIST??? DRIVERS LICENCE AND TRAITOR MY BELOVEDS... CURSE YOU ALGORITHM! But I don't care enough to get Premium so meh
comment in response to post
I should note I don't have Spotify Premium so all the playlists are at random. And the playlists are whatever nerd themed thing I find, so even more random. I listen to character exploration and Olivia Rodrigo exclusively and there should be more of her songs in that list.

I'm not saying we shouldn't complain about the things we dislike or are badly done (Finn's character arc and drug dealer!Poe my beloathed), but never forget about the good stuff, the stuff that makes being a #StarWars fan great. It's out there, you just need to find it.

In conclussion, I know there is a lot of discourse about Disney!Star Wars and how bad it is. Some of it agree with, some of it I don't. But we can't forget about stories like Vader Down, or Andor, or novels like Lost Stars or Rebel Rising or Padawan. There is good work being done in this Galaxy.

Mike Deodato and Salvador Larroca also deserve credit for their wonderful art, of course, and so does everyone involved in the comic, from colorist to letters to editors. This is comic books, ladies and gentlemen. This is Star Wars.

Jason Aaron and Kieron Giller should feel proud of how smart and creative they were with the medium without ever straying or breaking the conventions. None of it is for show, it's just a crossover that's being taken advantage of to the an insane degree and it's awe-inspiring to see. Bravo!

I remember reading this crossover. At first I was annoyed, because it meant going back and reading Darth Vader's comic, which I wan't super interested in, but when I started getting into the crossover itself... woah. Not only a great and entertaining story, but a masterclass of comic book writing.

And second, the status quo has actually shifted. Vader has defeated one of the enemies he was dealing with in his own comic and lost one of his allies, while the rebels have someone with information about Vader under their thumb now. It makes you ask what's next but it's not a big cheap cliffhanger.

So I got sidetracked telling you guys about this AMAZING COMIC, but what is my point exactly? First of all, look at how dynamic this story is! The characters are never static, teams and adversaries keep shifting, keeping it interesting and scalating the tension greatly. What's next? Who knows!

Don't worry Leia punches her lights out and they get her on the Millennium Falcon to interrogate her. She's so cool, I love her โค๏ธ Our heroes escape together to their own comic, the event over, and with Doctor Aphra in custody. Vader looks on, and you know it's not the end.

Vader defeats Commander Karbin and, realizing that Luke had been captured, brings down his transport so he can get to him. As Han says, Luke is the luckiest guy in the world. They reunite with him just in time for the Dark Droid to fail at shooting them and for Aphra to catch up to them. Gasp!

She has to make a choice. Avenging Alderaan or saving her new friends, who needs her help. You know what she chooses. No other Skywalker is half as strong as Leia Organa. She walks away from the fight and goes after her friends. ... C3-PO defeats Krrasantan by accident btw don't worry about it

Chewie gets defeated and the bounty hunter goes after Han, Luke gets knocked out by Random Stormtrooper #5 and C3-PO and R2 reunite over an unconcious Chewie. They send a distress message to Leia... who is about to shoot Vader in the back. Queen shit.
comment in response to post
What? Where is Luke? Well, Luke is fighting some stormtroopers and-- oh! Look over there! Triple-Zero (with Threepio's arms) and Beetee coming in with the flame thrower! You love to see it! They're evil, yes, but they're also fun and that's what matters.
comment in response to post
Karbin goes for Leia, Vader stops him, they fight, she gets away. Han and Chewie are struggling against the bounty hunter, but don't worry because here comes R2 with the assist!!! The assist is drugging Chewie to make him stronger. Just go with it, this R2 we're talking about, so it's in character.
comment in response to post
Her suicidal plan goes wrong, because the Rebel fleet that was going to blow Vader up is now fighting the Imperials, who are commanded by... Commander Karbin! He's from Darth Vader's comics, don't worry about it. Just know we don't like him. Also, Threepio gets his arms shot off by the other droids.

SORRY I MESSED UP: I meant that Luke is with Han, Chewie, R2 and... KRRRASANTAN THE BOUNTY HUNTER. Even more characters! The writers thought it was too easy ๐Ÿ˜Ž Han and Chewie have their hands full, but Luke splits to face Vader. Bad move farm boy, baaaaaad move. Also, Vader has found Leia.
comment in response to post
Too busy for Bugs Bunny anticts (this is about you Han, feel bad), Leia is facing Darth Vader on her own and about to make a self-sacrifficial move to get him out of the game. She's cooler than all of us โค๏ธ As it stands, Leia is with Threepio, Vader is closeby, and Luke is with Han, Chewie and R2.
comment in response to post
Han catches up to them, but they have the upper hand... until Chewie comes from the right! He starts going against Triple-Zero, Luke and R2 go against Beetee, and Han and Aphra have the same tricksy idea and knock each other out. It's quite funny. Luke saves the day and both groups split once again.

From SW we have Luke, Leia, Han, Chewie, R2-D2 and C3-PO. From DV we have Darth Vader himself, Doctor Aphra, Triple-Zero and Beetee. Soon enough, the characters start to interact with each other. Triple-Zero fakes being C3-PO and Doctor Aphra and her droids capture Luke, sending R2 running.

This event lasts for six issues (Vader Down #1, Darth Vader #13, Star Wars #13, Darth Vader #14, Star Wars #14 and Darth Vader #15), which means three months in real time, and manages about nine characters from both comics that are in constant motion, there is always something going on!
comment in response to post
Star Wars: Vader Down is a crossover of only two comics, Star Wars (2015) and Darth Vader (2015), so it's already playing with the advantage. It would be very easy to make an event where our heroes (Luke, Han, and Leia) face Darth Vader and be done with it. An easy kind of crossover. And yet...
