Yes all these "20 million illegals" doesn't seem to be so much a reality when they they are citizens or visa or green card holders.
comment in response to post
I'm guessing you haven't seen the Trump 2028 red hats yet?
comment in response to post
I did same. You'd think at some point I'd learn, but here we are.
comment in response to post
Also, their definition of illegal is wack. Strip a visa for no reason, illegal. Refuse to allow an advocate show a birth certificate, must be illegal (I'm aware this one was fixed). In the case of Kilmar he had previous federal work visas. That's not illegal to me, clearly we knew of his presence.

Was gonna say basically the same. I have a 2 year old who is a miracle baby with some developmental delays and I wouldn't feel safe bringing him out to a protest. He would be very overwhelmed.

of life don't apply to the rich. So from a young age we are to to strive to be an 'Elon' and when that doesn't work out, like it doesn't for majority of us, we are cycled back in the same old loop of 'bootstraps'.

We have been programmed for a long time into believing that if we aren't doing well we need to 'pull ourselves up by our bootstraps', 'do better' or 'try harder'. All the while watching the adults everywhere shame welfare moms or the disabled. But it's all different when 'you've made it' the rules

Ok so about this. I have not heard people talk about this enough or give him credit for this. I could never go 25 hours without a pee break. Makes me wonder if he did a catheter or something 🤔

anyone with half a brain knows that information would have been top clearance classified before the strike. Trying to say differently is an insult to our intelligence, and proves the point none of them were qualified to do their jobs.
comment in response to post
Usually yes, but with how they are downplaying it I'm not so sure. Also, this time it's a blitz, intentionally meant to overwhelm us with how much is going on, so we have goldfish brains. They are spinning this way too hard. As if Goldberg's reputation has anything to do with screenshots. Also,

Turning it into a typical MAGA circus hoping the story gets lost in the made up fluff. Other than their base no one buys that crap anymore. Having a debate over the Journalists character is comical; as if that changes anything found in screenshots.

Most states would need at least triple minimum wage to be a living wage. Only thing this is really missing is something addressing lobbying.

You can call it what you want, but those people choose to vote for racism, misogyny, and transphobia. I call it evil. I spent 10 years trying to think similarly to you. But I am done trying to explain to people why he is so wrong about so many topics. The knowledge is out there. They don't want it.
comment in response to post
It was very obvious what this election as about. No delivery method would've changed people wanting to vote for evil. Considering she had 6 months to campaign and the tallies were as close as they were it definitely wasn't the delivery.

At this point I think its more likely he will die in office. Of course I'd rather see him rot in prison, but there's signs his health is declining.

I had to stop asking myself that about a month ago. It was driving me insane trying to make some sort of sense out of the things going on. Then on top of it how the conservatives are just going along with it like business as usual. I grew up very conservative so that part really boggles my mind.

I remember when that meant something had happened.

I don't understand why the cameras kept rolling as long as they did. That was awful.

Not recognizing that there is a lesser of 2 evils is how we got in this mess. Republicans have made it very clear what their intentions currently are and it's not about helping the American people. Getting the country out of their hands should be everyone's top priority.

I don't think the bluesky account is even him. I think it's an impersonation account, but it could be one of his staffers too.

If churches would stay out of government I'd agree with your point completely. However, separation of Church and State clearly isn't functioning anymore, so they should be taxed.

Listening to Hakeem Jefferies speak lately has been really disappointing also. He has changed how he talks, the accent and intonation matches Obama's.

She has participated in lobbying until very recently when she changed her funding. There's been a whole slew of articles talking about her new funding path. Putting on my thinking cap and remembering back with the way they are talking, it's almost like trying to make a new Hillary.
comment in response to post
She gets a lot of money from Pfizer. Stat news is owned by the Boston Globe who also gets lots of money from Pfizer. This article in and of itself is bizarre. It's well known Bernie doesn't engage in lobbying, never has. www.statnews.com/2025/02/03/b...

I'd do some personal research on her before you end up falling to much in love with her words. She has taken a lot of money from big pharma. There's been glorious articles being written about her lately, but if you look closer at who funds those companies it'll lead you back to big pharma.

times about J6 and the events leading up to it. I may not be a fan of his views, but I give credit where it's due. It's easy to get lost in the left vs. right rhetoric, but it's America vs. MAGA. That's why we shouldn't be picking which facts we want to remember.
comment in response to post
You don't deserve a response as a minor correction inspires lunacy, but others who do want truth do. Even with death threats Pence certified the 2020 election results on J6. He chose to uphold the constitution and country over party and blew up his career for it. When asked he testified numerous
comment in response to post
There's been lots of odd takes on Pence's comment. Many seem to forget this isn't the first time he has done the right thing, J6 and the testimonies since. He blew up his own career over that. I'm definitely not a fan of his views, but to shun him based on which "side" he is on divides us further.
comment in response to post
Forgetting the facts of J6 makes you no different than a MAGAt
comment in response to post
Pence upheld his constitutional duty and certified the election. He testified at all J6 hearings he was asked to. He did the right thing that day and has since even though it cost him his career. I may not agree with his politics at all, but I can at least recognize when someone did the right thing.
comment in response to post
Seems like someone is forgetting J6
comment in response to post
While I am definitely not a fan of his views, this is a bad take on Pence. There's the J6 of it all. And Pence isn't relevant in politics anymore due to him doing his job on J6. So giving him grief on being quiet is rather odd.

The stock pictures crap looks like hundreds of scam loans. Pay me a small amount and we'll give you a large loan. It's bullshit meant to prey on lower income people. You choose the wrong thread to push that on.
comment in response to post
So trying to trick people into signing up for a scam. That's a special kind of evil given the topic.
comment in response to post
You seem to be missing the point entirely. The people this targets are those who cannot get loans or investments like that to prevent the overdrafting. I'm guessing you have not been poor enough to have to overdraft on a regular basis to feed your family and be stuck in the loop of overdrafting.

That's strange I've never been asked those questions other than during the application process. That could just be that my disability is very different than a TBI though. Hopefully you can get it all sorted soon. I know how stressful dealing with them can be.
comment in response to post
If it was ticket-to-work program then you don't need to stress on it too much. I believe those are sent out to us all as an automated mailer. I panicked the first time I got one also, but I called and they explained the ticket-to-work program and told me to ignore them until I'm ready.

THIS And some things need to be removed from executive power. No one person should just be able to turn off things like Medicaid.
comment in response to post
Always makes me laugh when people throw that around. I was completely content being an "old cat lady" at 23. I wasn't even looking when I happened on my husband when I was 25 and fought him off for 3 years before deciding to try out another relationship.

We have to let our govt work. If we don't allow them the opportunity we would be no better than J6ers. Impeachment case is going to be built in private as they need conservative GOP support. We may not like it but our govt has to completely fail before it's our turn to rise up.
comment in response to post
And yet so many of them are refusing this kind of stuff is happening and calling it 'fake news'. Part of me wants to scream at them it's your people he is hurting, but I know it'll fall on dead ears. Calling it a cult at this point gives cults more credit than cults deserve. This is something else.
comment in response to post
Haha that's where you are wrong, I'm no liberal. You clearly haven't done your research on me or anything else. I'm not here to debate a fool who parrots headlines, just pointing out the sheer idiocy. Thanks for the laugh, now go home to Twitter.

The response from the rest of the developed world should be a wake up call as to which side needs a reality check. But of course continue to praise misinformation forgetting the fact that it lead to this mess.
comment in response to post
I wish it were that easy and I thought Biden getting elected and J6 failing would be it. Little did we know it was only the beginning.
comment in response to post
It is absolutely his responsibility and DOGE is a conversation in and of itself. It's not an official Dept of anything, that would've required Congress and Senate to approve. Meaning none of its employees are govt employees and none of them have security clearances to be doing what they are doing.
comment in response to post
I do agree with you that he is acting outside of presidential power, but he is claiming it's presidential acts. Also keep in mind he is not destroying those departments, DOGE is. He has put staff on leave. Trump isn't smart, but he does still have a few smarty pants around him.

This post and several of the comments under it are some of the most hateful things I have ever seen. There have been a few moments in the last 10/11 years since he has entered our politics that I will never forget from this era and that is one of them.
comment in response to post
We are at a really crappy point right now. When governments fail you have to exhaust the current governments procedures. Building the impeachment case will be done in silence as they need GOP support. It's going to feel like a lot of nothing is being done on our end. If it fails then it's our turn.
comment in response to post
It's not a misinterpretation, they gave Presidental immunity for Presidential acts and he is using it. He is using the guise that our whole system needs changing which makes it all Presidential acts. And clearly our system does need changing because the safeguards failed us, just not his changes.

Congress is built to account for population and Senate ensures no one state has too much power. The electoral college is also built from the 3/5 agreement of slave owners time. And that sorely needs to be looked into. Voting was not as commonplace then as it is now. A popular vote is enough now.
