Vote with your wallet. It's the only thing corporations care about.

The games industry should die??

Complaining about having to pay a high price and then paying it anyway only shows youll pay whatever price they offer, even under duress.

This is great! It could be even better if the foot pushed off into the acceleration and he stuck his foot out before stopping (I get this is wip, I'm nitpicking)

"what do you mean were not allowed to feed a portable hole to the dragon and kill it by pouring its own hoard into its stomach until it explodes? Why???"
comment in response to post
I suppose video gamers accept that "you just can't kill a dragon in certain ways" much more readily than table top gamers, especially if they're invested in an off the wall idea.

I feel like every four months someone comes out with a click baity title that implies that a significant amount of some old game has been ported to unreal by a single fan.

Where is the Text variable set? For some reason it's null. You need to work backwards to find where it's being set to null or not set at all. Use breakpoints.

What does this all do?

I have long since given up on convincing people that I am human.

Camera transitions here are great! Is the camera attached to a bone?

What's your idea for the project?

Of course. That sounds very frustrating, especially when its caused by an often used engine. Some kind of odd hardware incompatibility? Gah.

Ugh, that sucks. I'm sorry.

This is really great.

This happens any time you play a game that uses the engine?

The commercialization?

What does that mean?

What kind of crashes?

Firstly, they look pretty good. Secondly, give yourself permission to fall short of your goals. How else can you learn? Keep it up, you're doing great.

It's an open source engine. You can do whatever you like. I've worked at plenty of studios with in house engines that are like unreal or Godot but worse. Never better. And the only real justification is that you think you'll save money on royalties.

That parallax is amazing.

It's relatively easy to make a game that's a game but also kind of a mess when you start. You really need to understand how all the systems interact to make something clean and performant. In my opinion it's worth the journey.
comment in response to post
Unreal can be amazing but you have to learn a lot of systems before it starts to mesh and make sense. There are a lot of times you'll start out thinking "this is too complicated" and then later go "oh, this is smart".

I mean, multi-player is just hard, full stop. It has broken many developers.

I challenge Elon Musks credentials for assessing human worth.

I mean, that's impressive in its own way.

People really need to understand what Nanite is, how it works, when to use it, and unless Epic comes up with something truly magical to reduce overdraw (especially for foliage), when not to. MARKitekta's video on the topic, he explains it very well. youtu.be/RRKCqmctxLs?...
