I also recently got back into yugioh after a more than decade hiatus. Currently running Cyber Dragon and it's doing pretty well, it just needs a few more cards to be fully optimized. (playing at locals).
Might be worth checking out Edison format if you want to play more "Old School"

Thor Skywalker recently put a poll out asking about the Ewoks, and given the downhill trajectory of that dude's content (imo), I'll be curious to see what he says. Current voting on that poll shows 26% don't like them.
I personally love them. They were an excellent addition to the movie.
