10ish yrs ago, I gave up social media for Lent after a friend did the same; 40 days later, not one single person had reached out to me at all, as though I had simply ceased to exist if I wasn't actively shitposting to amuse them or otherwise forcing contact. Thinking about that a lot today, tbh.
