- guards didnā€™t realize they were being studied and thought that their job was to show how bad prisons were - the most ā€œsadisticā€ guard was into theater/acting and says he ā€œgot into characterā€ before walking into the prison each day - a participant told zimbardo he wanted to leave, and heā€¦.
