Hi, Debbie. Glad to meet you here on Bluesky. Anything to get away from Musk and his increasingly toxic platform.

So many of my contacts have moved to here. I think it does have the juice, as you put it, to be the go-to network.

The answer to that is 'Very little.' Unless you are a marketing expert, and have loads of time to spend on it, there's not much chance of making the big dollars among the millions of books on there. Still, we keep on trying.

Just finished reading the second part of a horror trilogy by a talented young writer, David Kummar. Part 1, The Misery House, Part 2, The Silent Forest. Anxiously awaiting Part 3.

Once, it was suggested that we had a theme for, say, a week, in school. I taught in secondary school in the UK. The idea was that every subject (as far as possible) would teach their subject through the theme.
It didn't happen because of the National Curriculum.

Great idea, but my characters are all from a fantasy, medieval world, or from Roman or Viking Britain. I'm unsure how this would work with this idea.

#writing #fantasy. I agree. Sometimes I sit down to write with no idea where it's going. Then the characters take over and all becomes clear.

Absolutely. I can't see it ever being able to write emotions as well as a human. Then again, some humans don't write emotions well, either.

I like dandelions. The flowers are like little suns. If they were from foreign climes, I reckon they'd be sold in garden centres.

Good point. They probably don't know about us. I didn't until an online friend mentioned it. I suppose we should spread it, but we don't want the Twitter trolls here, or we're no better than them.
