While I was in college in 2011, I took a “Women in Literature” class. Octavia Butler was part of the syllabus plan. It also included Sojourner Truth, Phyllis Wheatley, and Ida B. Wells. It was such an impactful class. During Black History month, read the works of women who knew struggle.
