The phenomenon of “leftist language policing” is 99% a product of centrists whining about it constantly. I almost never encounter it in real life and requests for vocabulary updates are typically non-binding guidelines for formal written documents.

Practicing law outside of THE Big City is a trip. Those lawyers come to the small town and act like they’ve landed in Brigadoon. I love when they try to match their speech to the locals. Watched one lawyer change his accent with every juror questioned (during individual voire dire). 🧵
