Well, not under the current govt (or what passes for it) that they have there. They’re yet to meet a law they can’t ignore.

Reminds me of the time I was at a farmer’s market in Devonport,Tasmania and the local pig farmer had his own bacon- served as a crispy bacon donut with a maple syrup glaze. So good we went back for seconds and then had to have a nap 🤣

We need to unhook our AUD from the USD before it’s too late.

It’s the prelude to “Halt! Ihre Papiere, bitte!”
Requiring a passport to travel within one’s own country is ridiculous.

I somehow think the availability of right hand drive is the least of their issues getting them into Australia.

They’ll be in those extra secure file repository bathrooms at Mar-a-Lago. Probably with the water running to turn them to pulp.

Yep, FIL had just been diagnosed when the pension discrepancy was uncovered by the residential aged care facility he was living in-had to move to a higher care level and suddenly no money to cover costs. We weren’t happy with Centrelink!

We had to actually find a face to face worker willing to help us, which we did at a Centrelink office in the small town we lived in (since closed). I’m pretty sure most 80+ seniors can’t navigate the online stuff let alone all the constant transfers to another dept/person on the phone.

ICE are actively disappearing people, regardless of legal status.
USAmericans, the time for civil discourse is over. If you let this happen to legal citizens then you may as well roll over and accept the dictatorship. IMO of course.

Know what you mean. When my FIL was alive we discovered his pension had ⬇️. Much to-ing and fro-ing uncovered a data entry mistake between Centrelink/MyAgedCare with an extra zero added to total assets. Took forever to sort. Bet there are lots not being paid properly.
