I just discovered that Fantastic Four: First Steps will have a runtime of 97 minutes. That's pretty rapid for an MCU movie. I guess that means an extra 2 or 3 screenings a day in cinemas and potentially bigger box office.

FINALLY finished listening to the audiobook of A Lonely Broadcast Book One by @wendingus.bsky.social, and featuring @autumnivy.bsky.social. Thoughtful, gripping, funny & horrific in equal parts, I loved every second of it. Highly recommended.

Watched a couple of new films recently. Nosferatu - Gorgeous cinematography, very mannered performances, and incredibly slow. Not impressed. Star Trek Section 31 - Disjointed, with obvious plot twists. Decent performances but should have been a miniseries, not a film.

My friend brought her thick boyfriend along to join our really good pub quiz team. She put him up for the tie-break to win the big Xmas prize and he answered "What's the capital of Syria?" with "Domestos". So I did a no-show at their wedding, fuck them.

Just re-watched this after some 44 years! The last copy I had was on VHS and was missing the last 90 minutes. When I asked the releasing company - Castle Communications - "WTF?", I was told "that's the version we were supplied with".
