Iā€™m curious about the cap table, but itā€™s ok to choose not to share it. Most companies donā€™t. Itā€™s not mentioned in the mission page Again, I see and admire the spirit, intentions, and passion you all have I stand by the substantive nature of the inquiry - itā€™s not personal

imo asking ā€œwho owns itā€ is a substantive question - not trolling Itā€™s also relevant to anyone with concerns over bandcamps changes in ownership The goal of Subvert is to create a user owner and controlled platform. So our goals may actually be different Question my character if you want šŸ¤·

Mirlo is great! Would be happy to talk @filip.start-track.com I donā€™t know you, Chris so I wouldnā€™t take these questions personally. I see and admire your passion We believe that distributed, accountable, and transparent ownership is important - especially in this context

Bandcamp was owned by 4 founder guys before taking funding. Help me follow the logic why 1 is better

Goldman Sachs CEO is a DJ. Is Goldman Sachs ā€œDJ owned and operated?ā€ This is surface level identity politics, not a meaningful systems intervention

@metalminder.bsky.social would love to see some transparency of who owns Ampwall Bandcamp founders made music too The solution to unaccountable platform landlordism isnā€™t to say that artists make better landlords How will Ampwall fund itself and be ā€œindependentā€ or ā€œdiyā€

The Patreon model is not a panacea. Itā€™s not a natural fit for music (We both know that)

We need to understand that the only equitable solution to wealth inequality in tech and business, is to foster worker ownership in every possible form. Iā€™m looking forward to seeing subvert.fm grow into a platform that can be a great source of control and support for the creative musician/artist.
