We're a small team of 3 and we launched our first game this year back in February. It's called TimeMelters and it's a witchy, strategy game that features a full co-op campaign and time travel mechanics!

A lot more people takes chances on $5 games. I have noticed over the years that many indie games are priced pretty fairly though. There was a time were it looked like it was a race to the bottom.
