A hiring freeze is one thing; rescinding accepted offers of employment is just being cruel for the sake of being cruel, and upending the lives of countless young lawyers (and others) who now have to scramble to find alternative employment (including, perhaps, in entirely different cities).

Emails from Government agencies have been sent revoking post graduation job offers. To the 3Ls in particular that are dealing with this, I did not get my clerkship until right before graduation. I am so sorry you are going to have to deal with all of the stress of this situation but there is hope.

Today I passed along Houston’s plan to deal with snow to my friends on the east coast. They are shocked that the city doesn’t own any snow plows so we are just going to wait for it to melt. I’m just trying to find out if Ted Cruse has gone on vacation. If so I need to leave the state. >.<

Today was frustrating. I went to a specialist to have my foot looked at. The Dr. saw me for five minutes and just said take two aleve. As if I hadn’t tried that in the months waiting for the appointment. It was offensive how dismissive he was and obvious he didn’t care. ugh.
