Uh…pretty sure those are the Census Bureau buildings.

It confused me as a kid why Fry’s in Arizona was a grocery store but in Nevada it was an electronics store, yet the logos were so similar. I didn’t learn until later how they were related.

Others have already pointed out that they're mixing up chicken pox and measles. I'm probably among the youngest cohort of Americans that were prophylactically exposed to varicella at a young age. The varicella vaccine didn't finally become available until the mid-90s and is a vastly better option.

San Antonio also doesn’t have local rail. But we’re getting a “BRT” route between the airport and downtown in 2027 🙃

Not surprised at all to see the list of Texas Democrats on the list. One’s under criminal indictment. Another is finishing his last term in the House after losing a game of assholery to Ted Cruz, the asshole-extraordinaire of the U.S. Senate.

One baffling thing about migraines is that they can occur days after exposure to a trigger. And it can be a combination of triggers that does it. For extra fun, those triggers can change over time, too. But yeah, being alive is certainly a trigger for 100% of migraineurs 😢

I don’t think I would’ve discovered this just by browsing through Crunchyroll. It looks interesting and I added it to my watch list. Thanks for the recommendation!

From the memo: "If a single court order contains both a name change and a sex change, we cannot accept the order. The applicant will be processed with no change and with the information on file." This isn't only gender markers. Even just names can't be updated for many people.

I sound like someone from the Mountain West part of the U.S. It’s similar to, but a little slower and more “rural” than how people on the West Coast speak.

She took a huge step in self-discovery. Hopefully at least some people are pointing her to resources that show her more ways she might explore gender expression.

Also support TNR and community low-cost spaying/neutering clinics if you can. It's very easy to get mad at people who dump cats or who let their cats get pregnant repeatedly, but that anger doesn't help animals. Getting involved helps. www.alleycat.org/resources/wh...

If 12 Texas State House seats flipped blue this fall, there’d be a Democratic majority in that chamber for the first time in decades. It could help stop some truly awful stuff from happening here. It’s not unrealistic. That’s how many seats flipped in 2018.
