God yeah, they've been doing it for so long I didn't even think of it, but they're such a good example of this. Maybe even to the point that they're pushing the limits lol! But I think they've got a good sense of how much 'newness' each game needs to avoid that.

seeing all the nightreign release buildup has really confirmed what i felt when tears of the kingdom (doing a slightly different thing) came out: devs *should be* reusing the bones of their big-ass open world games like this more often.

The later games seem to get a bit more complexity, but even back playing the ppc mac shareware versions as a kid I was much more partial to the avernum party structure

- a *relatively* low effort one that turned out super well, and was a great testbed for getting used to krita and the new tablet - rain world scavs are hot and this is my highest effort pic of the year, so much fun with the lighting - recency bias, but more high-ish effort stuff I'm super happy with

Hopefully! It mighttt if you have the fm towns files and just point it to those instead, but its not like this version has any proper documentation either lmao

Tragic. I'm guessing it's the stuff under <video> but I can't quite figure it out. That being said, it looks like nuvie just ended up getting integrated into ScummVM anyway!! wiki.scummvm.org/index.php?ti... Pointing it to my u6 folder and picking the "- Enhanced" option got it working for me.

missed the other response so this is covering some of the same ground oops but the other issue I hit that you might be having too is that it really didn't work properly installed to program files! Wasn't able to actually make or edit the config file. Just had to reinstall it somewhere else

I've been meaning to check this out, so thanks for the reminder lol. I think they just don't put the releases on github for whatever reason, but they link to nuvie.sourceforge.net in the readme which should be a precompiled installer. Just gotta edit nuvie.cfg to point to your ultima 6 files

This is too relatable lmao. Telling myself i don't wanna bother with "proper" shading on a pic, but ah fuck this won't look right without it, so then *this* won't look right without it, so-
