For tyranny to prevail, all that is required is for good people to do nothing.
The mortal enemies of democracy have taken it’s arsenal and are trying to destroy it.

Oh I didn’t know that about the connection with the Xi-Putin agreement, interesting. Putin resents Xi being so much more powerful and even annexing a small uninhabited Siberian island as a test. Of course Putin could do or say nothing being completely dependent on Xi and he fears being colonized.

It’s foolish because Russia will never be a great full loyal ally and it will cost us all of our real allies. It’s incredibly stupid.

And the coalition of common cause includes Xi as well, because, Trump praises Xi as a brilliant strong, iron fisted ruler, and wants to rule absolutely like Xi does. So the other more likely theory is each nuclear great power dictator is allowed to do whatever in his “neighborhood” and his subjects.

Peeling Russia from China by becoming allies with Russia and investing in building up their economy and military is the reverse-kissinger, because it is the opposite of what Kissinger did to build up China to counter the USSR

“owned by Putin” is simplistic and only a partial explanation. While it is true that Trump and Musk are assets, the problem with it is now Trump and Musk have all the power so no amount of money and kompromat would be enough to make a significant difference. So they WANT to be allies with Putin.

The reverse-Kissinger theory is something the Heritage Foundation has discussed, as well as Project 2025 and some of outspoken insiders from Vivake to Elbridge Coby.

Imagine being an hardworking federal employee who is an expert in your field and you get this email telling you to comply with this stupid pointless micromanaging demand from a guy who can’t begin to comprehend the work you do, or else you get fired.

I think the scariest scenario is that the military is being purged of good people and then turned inward against certain classes of people and against our neighbors in the western hemisphere.

These people…don’t know what to say about them, but they should be trying to impeach Trump, not kiss his ass.

Terrible. The $300B of frozen Russian money should be used to buy weapons immediately. Trump said he wants $500B, well there’s $300B waiting right there he just needs to take it. But he’s a pussy and scared of a russian midget who hides in a bunker.

And at the time, he had more debt than assets and his Casinos were failing and he owed money to the Italian mafia so he desperately needed a bailout.

But be mindful that it is much easier to trick someone than to convince them they’ve been fooled. Their ego, sense of self worth, and often their identity is tied up in their beliefs. A religious zealot will usually double down rather than self-reflect.

So my assumption is, if Ukraine signs the deal to give away her mineral resources to keep Starlink, then Musk has likely already made a deal with Putin for the same share of resources if he helps Putin win, so Musk could just shut it off anyway if it looks like Putin is winning.

Unprecedented times make unprecedented allies. If Trump sides with Putin, I find myself agreeing with both Liz Cheney and Bernie on the most important issues of our time.

Yeah, endless death is wrong. So why not tell russia to leave so we don’t have anymore deaths? Instead of Ukraine and the US making all concessions for russia so they can reconstitute their forces and continue the war in a year?

Yes because the russians have zero respect for a yank traitor they control.

It’s not a negotiation though. It’s a non-starter. Trump already gave away all US leverage over Russia and is now just bullying Ukraine.

Also, Kellogg just disappeared and had nothing to do with it. This is not the context of what the post is about.

An actual deal would be one thing. This wasn’t a deal though, it was a shakedown with nothing offered to Ukraine in return and giving Russia everything they wanted and more at the same time.

I would call it misinformation (out of context or deceptive but not necessarily a lie) not disinformation (a straight up lie).

Europe will likely still buy a lot of military stuff from the US for now, but will also do everything possible to decouple from that dependency. US industry is hard to ignore, even this downward trend might be seen as just market correction; Trump was not expected to cut our defense own spending.

Yes and he’s also just trying to get Europe to “buy our stuff.”

The National Guard putting down their shields and standing with protesters gives me hope.
If it comes down to it, we free democratic Americans will be there for our Canadian brothers and sisters and we will fight against any illegal invasion of your great nation, our true friend and ally.

I don’t completely agree with everything in it, but it still gives a good historical framework to these ultra conservative think tank people who are behind project 2025

No because the entire point of the reverse Kissinger theory is to contain China.
