And it wasn’t a free kick in the first place

Most of our fanbase can’t even spell his name correctly .
comment in response to post
In fairness he’s only had two saves to make in those games.

That Irish fella Mark phones in every week. I’m beginning to think he might work for radio Leeds. He usually talks sense though. That old bloke was nuts - Jamie Vardy??? No thanks!

Is it Bunty Bailey from the take on me video?
comment in response to post
Is that Morten Harket?

Finally getting Jay Jay Okocha. Or Tomas Skuhravy.
comment in response to post
Maybe. I’m a bit too cautious though. I can picture the headline “Firpo mistake gifts Burnley advantage.”

I don’t mind Leeds playing like that away at a promotion rival. Important not to give anything away and allow them to reduce the gap. Sleepy Joel not helping his case though!

Hell like the rest of the world!

As someone else has already said, shades of Cooper over Rodon at Southampton last season.
comment in response to post
Hopefully one of the defenders stands behind him to stop any shots he lets past him.

ER can be a challenging place to play when things are going well but once you lose the crowd you’re done.
comment in response to post
The crowd issue is the one for me. Even against Harrogate there were ironic cheers when Darlow caught the ball. There’s a tension in the stands every time the ball goes near Meslier and it is only going to get worse.
comment in response to post
I’m hoping for a second yellow or serious injury for rat boy.
comment in response to post
If he saves shots directly at him he’s ahead of Meslier
comment in response to post
Yes, in fairness the bar isn’t set very high. Be a spectator for most of the match, catch a few crosses and save shots directly at you. If he does that he’s already ahead of Meslier.
comment in response to post
Agreed. I think Meslier might be done too. Darlow in until we can sign better.
comment in response to post
I can’t see the blunts selling to us. He’s good though. Can’t believe we didn’t go for Johansson in the summer. Trafford is the best keeper in the league but there’s no way Burnley are selling to us.
comment in response to post
Agreed. If they have any money to spend they should throw it all at signing a decent keeper.
comment in response to post
This is why I think Farke may make a change. You can’t defend mistakes like that. The other players aren’t happy with him. The Welsh lads know Darlow. I’d still like a new keeper though - Pears from Blackburn?
comment in response to post
I hope rodon punched him in the face after the game.

We’ve got a trust training day tomorrow with a keynote speaker. Can’t wait.

Offer James a new deal, bin the rest.

He’s 18th in the league for save percentage (66.1%) and 17th for goals prevented (-1.7). If you are a team chasing promotion you can’t afford someone that weak. It’s not like his distribution is great either and his command of the area is a joke.

New GK?
comment in response to post
Same
comment in response to post
I think he is the main cause of our corner issues too. He doesn’t command his area, and worse he hesitates when too much. Starts to come to claim the cross and then stops and goes back. Must be a nightmare for the defenders. Distribution isn’t even good either.
comment in response to post
After todays game Meslier is still joint 2nd on clean sheets, however is 18th on save percentage which is the more accurate stat. Trafford, Cooper and Pears are all at 1, 2,and 3 saving their teams points. Meslier is 19 percentage points behind Trafford…he is a liability and will cost us promotion
comment in response to post
At least. Portsmouth, Sunderland , Norwich, Preston , today. Some howlers, some where you think a proper keeper doesn’t get beaten. His command (or lack) of his area is almost worse than his shot stopping. He hesitated too much , must be a nightmare to play in front of him.
comment in response to post
Absolutely
comment in response to post
Understand why you wouldn’t call him out in public, but he sees what we see. Surely he has to be looking for a new keeper?
comment in response to post
100%. Anyone who has watched Leeds can see he is the weak link. I can’t understand why the club has not tried to address it.
comment in response to post
He tried but he dropped his lap top
comment in response to post
3 for the keeper is at least 2 too high.
comment in response to post
Personally I’d be after a new keeper first but if we bring in a proven striker who bags 15 goals we go up.
comment in response to post
I still look back to 1990. The Chapman signing helped get us over the top.
comment in response to post
I think it comes down to taking advantage of a position of strength. We are in a good position but one of two top signings and it’s all but certain we go up.
comment in response to post
Ditto Epic by faith no more.
comment in response to post
We’ve scored more than anyone else in the division. Our goalkeeper has cost us at least 5 points by my reckoning.
comment in response to post
Goalkeeper for me.
comment in response to post
Great song
comment in response to post
He looking the part. A cut above the rest of the league.
comment in response to post
Similar to Plymouth, sorry Wayne Rooney’s Plymouth. Sat deep but didn’t pick up runners. Could have finished 10 - 0.
comment in response to post
I would too. If you are going to play him, it has to be from the start. He never looks that effective coming off the bench.
