Was thinking maybe Steven Cheung myself. Miller's probably sulking in his coffin at the news.

I completely agree. Musk is wreaking havoc and is extremely dangerous.
My point is that Trump's goons have been prepping for this for 4 years. They're now changing things quietly in background while Musk is running amok and Trump is doing rallies.

Point is that Musk's actions can make Trump's somewhat rational to the MAGA crowd.
Musk is setting fire to the kitchen whilst Trump is stealing from the rest of the house.
They WANT people to look at Musk.

I haven't played golf in years but when I see reports that Trump has the PGA top 10 playing him every week, I'm happy I quit.
Disappointed to see Tiger sell out but they nearly all do.

I'm not sticking up for Tiger, just passing on that Trump got his fat arse involved in the negotiations and they were due to meet today.

Not defending Tiger but he was there to take part in the negotiations between the PGA and LIV. Trump basically said he'd get a deal done and as Tiger is the PGA's rep, he had to go.

Access. The White House is already blocking certain news corps/reporters from briefings.
I think most people saw this coming but not at the rate it has. Trump and his goons had 4 years to prep and they're not hanging about.

Bin may have been stripped for parts by now.
Fingers crossed it's still in area and in one piece.

I wish I could say it surprises me but it's always been there, under the surface.
Brexit was a release point. Look at majority of news articles on UK events now and people in the comments will bring up 'boat people' or 'no room left!'. These people used to think it, not say it. Now they scream it.

We've already walked into it. I mean, the UK isn't run by a "far right" government but the likes of Farage have gained so much support.
People really stopped hiding their racism/hatred around 2015 and it's getting worse.

So lucky.
I had my foot stepped on by Lesley Joseph from 'Birds of a Feather' a few years ago and I can't remember which foot it was either.

Acosta was being pushed into the graveyard slot so he walked, yes.

Problem is those using Trump's return to pull up the ladders behind them. They had 4 years to strategise how to stay in control.

Same neighbour as last time? With the recycling?

No, I totally understand what you're saying.

Fair enough. Positives outweigh the negatives for me.

I'd say a dog would be a good idea. So you'd have a reason to get out of the house for an hour or so.

He came to your door?
That's not how we do things here. Audible tutting and/or a clear look of disdain whilst looking in their direction the next day is acceptable.
But to actually ask you, in person, about your recycling? No.

You're in the Maidstone area, right? I'm in Deal and it's just been raining heavily.
I miss the snow. :(

I'm partnered with a black lab as my sound support dog.
Smartest dog in the world. Apart from staying out of the sea. Which is right next to where we live.

At least you're not curled up in the fetal position regretting your pastry choices?

Funny how that works, eh? Sales season is terrifying for retail store staff.

Well done.
Quick delivery or did you take it home yourself?

Richer Sounds in Maidstone is where I got mine. They were pretty good but I was looking for a specific TV so travelled there.
Not a massive fan of Currys.
Good luck.

I'm deaf but I always thought Abba weren't singing: "Fernando" but: "Veranda".

I hope for the same but have reached the point where I can't see significant change happening.
Not sure that we can change cultural issues in this country if Reform/Tories and the right-wing media are dependent on keeping those issues alive.
Hope I'm wrong.

Not sure about that. I knew the media would be brutal but not this quickly.
Certainly didn't expect so many people to turn against them so fast either.
Still 4 and a half years to go, right? Hope things turn around.

The council, Highways and the police were all very interested in what happened, expressed disapproval of these cables, etc.
But all of them said that guidelines for preventing this are not in place yet (although Highways did suggest suing the homeowner).
comment in response to

I tripped over one of these last winter when the light snow obscured the cable. Broke my finger.
Contacted the council, who told me to contact Highways, who told me to contact the police, who told me they don't have any authority over this.

I popped on half an hour ago, saw the name 'Stephanie' in the What's Happening bar, clicked, post after post linking to videos of a Stephanie who has been shagging her poor dog.
So you're correct. It's a bin juice fire.
