Amateur juggler (very much in the sense of the French amateur "one who loves, lover", from which it is derived). Linux geek, dogherd, enough of a programmer to get myself in trouble. ALL OPINIONS ARE XIOMBARG'S.

My German's *very* rusty, and all learned between the ages of 12 and 15. Had to hit google translate for Abgeordnetengehalt (but at least it makes sense now)

True... honestly, I'm not sure what AI is good for in my own life. Apparently, it's been amazing for protein folding analysis, and I've been using it on a hobby python program... of course it may be leading me down the primrose path.

At one time, Television and Radio were amazing and exciting as well. AI *could* have been amazing, but it's a walled garden already (it's probably too powerful to be in everyone's hands, which makes the walled garden even worse -- they're keeping the good stuff but not policing the bad well enough)

I have inattentive type ADHD. I've never been a fan of the term ADD, and even less with ADHD... it's not a problem of lack of attention, it's a problem of the inability to effectively direct attention. I can pay attention to the stuff that draws me in all day long.

I still can't hear the 20th Century Fox fanfare without getting goosebumps (although fox is trying *very* hard to cure this via the aversion therapy these days)

I've always liked bluejays - they're spunky. The green jay... that's a bird I'd like to see in person.

What's worse is that when you know which direction is correct, the average is close to 3 direction changes.

I still remember where I was sitting (a computer lab in the basement of Younker Hall, Grinnell, College), which direction I was facing (South), and the color of the computer monitor (amber), when I got the news that the wall had fallen.
