Which young players who haven’t gotten too much experience for one reason or another (eg Murphy, various DBs) will make the leap next year?

Surely demanding answers will get work this time! Get down there and figure this out in person.

You and @ezralevin.bsky.social are the only people I see showing real leadership. Vote them all out (if we’re allowed to vote again).

5/10 (both teams bad), always rooting for the bengals, and just hoping that Joe and Jamarr do not get hurt.

The offseason outlook for Murphy was pretty optimistic- I remember his trajectory based on year 1 being compared to top edges- I know he got injured in preseason, but what happened?

Fowler says, with plenty of squishy language, that he doesn’t see it… but I think most every observer perhaps outside of PBS knows it’s time.

Agree that guys “shouldn’t be pushed” but if we can’t protect Joe with starting caliber linemen, he should be sitting.

Need either a great front office performance or great coaches in place who are able to make it work. If they clean house on the coaches, starting with Zac, and have SOME draft and FA hits, I think we could recover quickly. As you and James discussed, Zac’s the worst HC in the division. Its untenable

If we draft a safety in the first, we will have spent two first round picks and a big free agent signing to continue to try to fix the failure of not signing Bates, correct? Hard to imagine greater roster and financial mismanagement.

It’s clear from his public statements and philanthropic ventures that he’s quite far from being a MAGA guy.

What I would like to hear from Zac and see on the field is a true commitment to keeping Joe healthy the rest of the year. He can’t keep sustaining these hits because the defenses can tee off on every play.

It was dirty- he knew he knocked the ball out and went for the leg not the ball.

Zac and Lou need to be gone, a full overhaul is necessary. We cannot waste another season with Burrow; we need a functional defense and a coach that’s committed to preserving his health and reducing hits.

Priority needs to be simply ensuring Burrow ends the season healthy. Parsons destroys our line.

Sure but why is THIS the norm he’s willing to buck? He could have done real good for abortion rights, for democracy itself, etc. and always ran up against imaginary guardrails. But when it comes to his own family…

At least Cappa has played well in his career.

Why did it take years of watching Volson getting Burrow killed to make a switch?

Agree but how many of these “bengals should claim/trade for ____” are going to be written this year, as we all know none of it will come to pass?

No doubt about it 😭

Nah they look really quite mid, another reason this bengals season is so depressing. With merely a competent defense we could get back to the Super Bowl.

This doesn’t sound like a team that spent the bye week thinking about how they’ll run the table. They sound ready to throw in the towel.

Also does this not happen on the other side constantly? The invasion and its related rhetoric alone is deeply offputting to many. But to your point it doesn’t matter because it got people frothing and they won.
