Hearing @lebatardshow.bsky.social suggest replacing a team in the playoffs by vote yesterday… Instead, make an 8th team in each conference a fan-voted-for Super Wild Card, ‘cause wild card weekend always feels like a letdown with the best teams on byes. Solves two problems at once.

Seems worth mentioning; though 3 possessions: PSU over BSU, 14-0 Texas over ASU, 14-3 OSU over Oregon, 14-0 Seems like the bye is a significant disadvantage when everyone has lots of time off between games anyway.

CFP really needs to eliminate the byes - teams that haven’t played in a month are coming out WAY slow against teams that are still plenty fresh but at least played a week or so ago.

Realized that watching exclusively the Simpsons version of last night’s game means, as far as I know, Lisa Simpson scored 2 TD, Ralph Wiggum scored one, Homer had a couple TD passes, intercepted a pass, came up with a sack…and got torched for the game-winning TD.
