This might actually make sense in the context of creating several new hotbeds for extremists after previous decisions to cut off critical aid to these places, allowing 1,000’s of children and sick people to die. (From a self-protection perspective, when weapons are easily accessible after arrival.)

Obama struggled but walked a line between enforcing law and being merciful, with no real support from Congress for needed immigration reform.
Today? No mercy, and no support, except for supporting more pain. There is a crack in the wall, though: going through their wallets. Let’s hope it works.

Not his job. He should not be there, unless the regime intends him harm for propaganda reasons.

Can anyone confirm if ICE took anyone (the adult male?) in to custody before leaving the scene?

Does that mean his sister is a “rabid partisan”? Because I think no one would even know who he is if his sister wasn’t such a shill for the would-be king.

And actually June 6 10:23pm in CA? That’s like, last Friday?

No, he’s not that smart, there is no chess playing here. This is to distract from his DC crises: BBB backlash, Musk feud, SCOTUS setbacks, etc - and to keep focus off his birthday bash and airport shutdown. Show up on Saturday to peacefully protest and go home before his parade. He can cry alone.

Unless he is impeached, l every one of your “colleagues” that voted for confirmation owns the next pandemic and every death of an unvaccinated child for the next decade, at least. Make sure that is put in the Congressional
record.

Nuance and processing complex situations are not strong American skills, it seems. No one in government even uses terms like “comprehensive” anymore. We cannot envision solutions at the scale required for success. We cannot keep focus on anything except anger. It is sad. So, it is time to change.

Where does the funding for this legally dubious activity come from? Doesn’t Congress control the federal purse?

Notably executed on clear and certain military, not civilian targets. This is war properly waged, if it must be waged at all.
This remains a Russian war of choice, and it can end as soon as Russia stops and withdraws.
We look forward to welcoming Russia back to the community of nations.

It’s like the tariffs - full of contradictions. If people fulfill the new requirements, there are no savings; if they don’t, then savings but millions lose healthcare. If no savings, no justification for tax cuts for the rich. You can’t have all of these at the same time - this is just logic!

This is one of the best use cases for blockchain - things that exist only once, like personal identities. Now the question will be who (singular or plural) holds the keys to these, and how is a “backup” system maintained? Dual holding between a govt entity and the real property owner is great!

I agree, but this ruling seems more about just how far someone can go to stop a project using environmental “reasons” - it is now NOT the point of allowing description of a “butterfly effect” across the world from a project. We must work instead on making economics of “green”
Impossible to ignore.

We need more plumbers to fix the shower heads that just drip out water, I guess?
I’m not sure what the electricians are supposed to do - Change out LEDs for “real” light bulbs?
And what IS an LGBTQ major? Is that a thing?
Did anyone confirm that she passed the bar (exam) (not just ‘a’ bar)?

There had to be 4 justices who did not want to hear this, among Roberts, Kavanaugh, Coney-Barrett, Sotamayor, Kagan, and Brown. Which 4 (or more)? I’m really confused about this one.

IF our country holds together long enough for the new terrorists to mobilize.
It won’t be just these guys, it will also be all the poor kids who watched their brothers and sisters die after we cut off food and medical aid to their refugee camps or countries.
There will be a reckoning.

In any case, and this is hardly the only case, the key words are “taking it away”. Don’t get confused: the GOP is voting to “take away” Medicaid from folks who NEED it - to give tax cuts to the rich, who DO NOT NEED them. TAKING IT AWAY. His words, not mine.

The FAA NextGen program has been underway for a decade, w/planned completion in 2030, at a total cost of some $35B. It has rolled out slowly, largely due to pandemic delays. Another $15B was allocated in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to improve/update airports. But thanks, President Trump.

It is not protesting if you are trying to enforce the laws of your city.
It is not protesting if you are trying to legally access a facility you are legally allowed to access as an elected official.
Please do not call doing his job “protesting”. It is a disservice to him.

I’m ever-hopeful that it occurs to normal citizens that hiding your face is not something you do if you are doing the right thing.
I’m sure there is an argument about gangs targeting ICE officers who do sweeps. But the gangs are not the guys w/facial recognition tech & access to govt databases.

This is one of many ways that lower income folks are kept out of the (rich folks) suburbs. Urban planning must extend to the greater metro areas, with attention to building cost-effective (and low user cost) transit corridors with locked-in affordable housing. Europe figured this out long ago.

Not for him, or anyone. We can be proud of our military and respect our soldiers without a wasteful display. Let’s provide school lunches instead of a mobilization followed by almost certain street repairs.

Only <2% of workers actually earn min. wage (avg wage is $28/hr.) Raising only wages BELOW avg by $10/hr increases overall wages by <15%, & overall costs by less than 8%. This won’t blow up prices, but will radically increase consumption, reduce welfare costs, and increase GDP. We CAN do this.

This is an area where we need to look hard at how rural teachers are paid and supported. States and the federal govt have roles here to ensure good teachers are happy to work in rural districts.

Employers already know this - less than 1.5% of workers earn the minimum wage. An honest government review would look at how much underpaid workers in general cost “society”, while themselves living on the edge of insolvency. There are multitudes of stupid in supporting the current minimum wage.
