I had a while to think about this and wanted to amend this reply: people do care what these Democrats say and it’s extremely important for them to keep reminding us this is a gross abrogation of duties and norms. However, it’s near-impossible to make someone care who doesn’t already.

I think the California machine will keep him funded for a long, long while though, and he will get a lot more unearned media attention than any of those four. Lots of rich liberals have auto-donations set up for his and Pelosi’s campaign funds.

I find that Murphy (Warren, Raskin, etc) don’t get traction because even though they’re spitting truth, nobody cares. You usually can’t intellectualize someone else out of an emotional reaction 😞

He outdoes Harding for corruption, Wilson for racism, Jackson for disregard of the other branches of government, Reagan for government bloat, and G.W. Bush for unseriousness.

I think the point is that Dems refuse to use progressive anger and righteousness. It requires ending our reliance on certain funding and allies, and using radical empathy to weld together a base that can jerk around corporations. That’s what the radical right has done by using selfishness.
