I had cataract surgery on one eye and in a month I need the other one done. I also have double vision and can't see without prism glasses, which don't work right now due to change in prescription. I won't be posting for quite awhile.

I enjoyed painting Jesus. I looked up men's faces on the web to find a model. One young man had the kindest face I could find.

"Seek the LORD while He may be found; call on Him while He is near. Let the wicked man forsake his way and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, that He may have compassion, and to our God, for He will freely pardon."

I painted this years ago. I wish now I had painted her dress blue. Too much orange, I think.

"Jesus took our infirmities and carried our sorrows; yet we considered Him stricken, struck down by God, and afflicted. But He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed."

Isaiah writes about Jesus, “He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief. Like one from whom men hide their faces, He was despised, and we esteemed Him not.”

This is my painting which I copied online. I believe it was originally painted by Paul Gauguin. I can't find it online anymore. It's fun to copy the great artists.

“God sent His one and only Son into the world, so that we might live through Him. And love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.”

I painted my two grandsons. They died from drug addiction. I know I will see them again in heaven. I know the painting isn't very good. We loved them desperately.

"Now we see but a dim reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.” And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love; but the greatest of these is love."

"Let us love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love."

A friend of mine took a picture of these butterflies that were near a wall.
