Thank you, I worry about it all. That was a really good piece, but I do think that our House & Senate Democrats see clearly what Trump is doing. I think they are doing everything in their (minority) power they can to stop him, not just waiting on the midterms.

The echoes of history are unmistakable, and the implications for democracy and civil liberties in the U.S. are deeply concerning.

If you guys understood how Amazon just straight up steals from and locks out its competition - average sm business owners - you wouldn’t shop on Amazon anymore! The Biden admin (Lina Khan, the FTC) was trying to reign Amazon in. Trump will unleash their illegal practices!

As Elon Musk’s DOGE chainsaws through federal agencies with budget and staff cuts, Tesla and SpaceX, cornerstones of his wealth, continue to benefit from public money. They probably wouldn’t have succeeded without it.

News organizations, advocacy groups, and even individuals expressing dissent have been targeted with legal threats and harassment. The administration is pushing the boundaries of First Amendment protections, with concerns growing that this is a attempt to control the narrative and stifle resistance.

Where Did the Name Come From?
The choice of “Operation Whirlwind” is deeply symbolic—and chilling. The name originates from the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, when the Soviet Union launched a military assault, Operation Whirlwind, to crush an uprising for independence and democratic reform.

By adopting this name, the Trump administration’s modern-day “Operation Whirlwind” appears to signal a similar intent: to assert control, suppress dissent, and eliminate opposition at any cost.

The name is no accident—it’s a warning, just like the Soviet crackdown on Hungary. They want to crush independence, control the narrative, and eliminate any opposition at all costs. This isn’t just dangerous—it’s un-American. WAKE UP, PEOPLE!

and: Trump's DOJ is threatening criminal charges against local officials who don't comply with ICE... trying to make a New York sheriff into a test case.
