When I worked in a hardware store I would try and talk people into never returning Fernco fittings. I'm sure most of them thought I was trying to be a capitalist but I'm sure somewhere down the line someone thanked me. Same goes for sharkbites.

This glorious old Kay flattop for $425. It was plunky and noisy in all the right ways but sadly the playability was not great.

Not just playing the instrument, but practicing scales and techniques with deep intention. Without exaggeration, I used to practice trombone a minimum of two hours a day—many times four. Comparatively, I phoned in guitar and piano learning.
