The very moment the war stops in Ukraine, Ruzzia will be a military threat to Europe.
Already today Ruzzian sabotage and assassinations are occurring in Europe.
USA is not a threat to Europe, but it is no longer an ally.

As an emissary of Putin, he should know. But I would not trust him.

You are impersonating Comical Ali.
No Iran didn't "defeat" USA and Israel.
They got pretty much destroyed militarily by Israel long range aviation alone.

Ruzzia is attempting to destroy European democracy, but not by getting Europe to spend more on defense.

There were a lot of solidarity in the Euro crisis. If it weren't for northern Europe, the whole of south Europe would be bankrupt.
When it comes to migrants, that is a national issue. It is up to every country to send them back.

Well Spain is not participating nearly enough to the defense of Europes eastern flank from a very aggressive Ruzzia.
And that includes supporting Ukraine.
The level of participation and the arguments for not doing more, shows that Spain doesn't care what happens, and do not care to defend Europe.

Nobody counts on the USA for defense any longer. 5% is more about getting more than North Europe interested in helping Ukraine.
Anyway very little outside of Ukraine, will be spend on US weaponsystems. That export market IS dead.

Putin got this one, two years ago.

To commit to tangible tasks, would for many mean to commit defending Europe far from your country. That solidarity and selflessness aren't there.
Better to put a high spending target, and force those who will not commit, to at least send some money.

Ohh yes, please scratch 10000 North Koreans as well.

The Ruzzians. Who will be expending close to 10% of GDP until they collapse.
Also, we need to duplicate the US intelligence and nuclear infrastructure. That's expensive.
comment in response to

That's why it is a good idea that the UK get additional nuclear capability from the US.
The can't make it themselves until their installations come online again, and they are the only country close enough to the US for the bombs to be credible.
French bombs should go to other European countries.
comment in response to

Good news. We need much more nuclear bombs and nations to deliver them.
And only USA and France is able to scale up on a relatively short time.

Oh, consequences, consequences....
He can't see his own responsibility for raising oil prices by starting a war in an area that produces a big part of the worlds oil.

Don't worry. The US still have B61-11.

Pretty much agree with your assessment, but would like to add another possible Iranian political-symbolic response:
Withdrawing from the NPT and officially going for the bomb.

Not probable that any "innocents" would be at a nuclear facility.

Thing is that the USA gives NOTHING to its citizens. And then it is difficult to ask for something in return.
A society such as Finland gives you healthcare, pension, education and support when you need it.
That makes it easier for the State to ask for something in return.

While they wait, Iran will lose more and more industrial and military infrastructure.
Israel might not be able to destroy the best buried nuclear installation, but they can systematically disable everything else. Not sure waiting is a good Iranian strategy.

Iran can totally give up any chance for building a bomb, or it can get it's entire military and civilian infrastructure destroyed, bomb by bomb.
That is the choice Iran faces.

Well, they will be racing for nukes now!
My guess they will detonate a crude uranium bomb within the next 6 months to show that they have crossed the nuclear threshold.
Putting it on a warhead and manufacturing sufficient numbers to be able to credibly put Israel at risk will take much longer now.

Google Iron dome and David's sling for more information.
comment in response to
post
Iron dome is a short range system, designed to protect against the type of rockets, artillery shells and drones used by Hamas and Hizbollah.
It is useless against the MRBM and IRBM's fired from Iran.
David's sling is used against them.
So different systems, and drones can not be used to overwhelm DS

AD are using different munitions to shoot at drones and balistic missiles, so lauching drones won't "mop up" anything.
comment in response to

Drones has about 0% chance of getting past Israeli air defence.
These are balistic missiles, which can be seen by their trajectories.
comment in response to

Ballistic missiles, not drones.

Iran has immediately suspended all arms exports to Ruzzia. So some good has come out of the attack.

3) Shaheds and other long range drones.
Cheap and Ruzzia seem to be able to mass produce them. And at these numbers, it is not cost effective to fire missiles at them. Use Gepards, drones and guns to take them down.
A big effort and 10% will get through. But their small warhead means little damage.
comment in response to
post
2) Cruise missiles.
Can be shot down by European SAM's, so Ukraine will still be defending against them. And Ruzzia really can't ramp up production, so not a big problem.
comment in response to
post
There are 3 parts to the problem:
1) Ballistic missiles. Can be defended against with US Pac-3 MSE missiles. Regrettable the US no longer delivers them, so the Ruzzian ballistics will get through. They are very few though, so not a strategic problem.

The interesting part is, if they close the Hormuz or hit Saudi-Arabia.

In Denmark the offshore sector is consentrated in Esbjerg.
I googled a few companies:

I know you you depend on your family also finding jobs and liking the place, but maybe you could give Denmark/Europe a try?

I have no contacts in the industry or in Canada, but last I heard companies in Denmark and Greenland needs pilots. If interested you could look into it, to see if positions are available.

The F16 would turn and escape, and the SU35 would only be getting missile warning, when the Amraam's own terminal guidance radar would activate.
Way to late, and only seconds to impact.
Something like that, could have happened. And downing a a2a patrol is easier to plan, than hitting a FAB bomber
comment in response to
post
If the reporting is correct, a F16 with radar off and Electronic self defense pod/jammer would fly high (maximizing Amraam range) to close on the front.
When the Su-35 finally saw it it would turn to ready the R-37M shoot, but too late. The Amraam was already on its way, with AWACS cueing.
